The left bud didn't work so I called Google Support and replacement is on its way. I deducted a star due to that, but support was great so I didn't know it down to far.
Uncomfortable and Don’t Connect

The pixel buds I received work alright… but just the right ear bud. As long as I’ve had them, the left ear bud will not connect to my phone. The right earbud does connect without issue, but is uncomfortable.
They're okay.

I was waiting for these for a very long time and I bought them as soon as they were available in Canada despite all of the connectivity issues and not so impressive audio quality reviews I'd read a lot about. To be short and concise, the buds are good and work fine for the most part but they perform very poorly from a room away regardless of the wall type and disconnect very frequently when sharing it with a friend. I own a pixel 4XL and many google products and I have to say... Only buy this if you have a pixel, otherwise buy it when it's on sale. For other android users just pick up a cheaper pair or similar priced pair from another company. The extra features/options you get with a pixel make it maybe just barely worth full price.

Great idea, just didn't work. Both buds are not functional. I followed instructions, repeatedly and both don't work. Just the left bud works.

The sound quality and features are fantastic the only problem I'm having is the displayed 5 hour battery life but mine seem only to last an hour and a half at most
1 reply from Google Customer Care team - 4 years ago
Hi MrFaceDude, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry to hear that your Pixel Buds have short battery life. Please check the following steps that might be helpful: 1. Make sure that the Pixel Buds’ firmware version is updated: - Tap More settings. - Tap Firmware update. - At the bottom, below each component (left earbud, right earbud, and charging case), you’ll find the serial numbers, device firmware status, device firmware version listed. - Tap the toggle to turn Automatic updates on. - Ensure that both the earbuds and charging case have enough charge (above 20%) for Over-the-air auto-updates to happen. 2. Reset the earbuds and restart your source device: - Place the earbuds in the charging case for one minute, then remove them. - Reset the Pixel Buds. - Restart the source device. If unresolved, we'd love to know more about what is going on with your Pixel Buds and see how we may be able to improve your experience. Fantastic sound

Sound is amazing especially with the new update adding bass boost, wasn't expecting sound like this from ear BUDS cause I always had wired. Loving the small soft felt case. As for the ear tips the small ones are the only ones that can fit in my ear and even then they still tend to fall out sometimes needing re-adjusting every now and then. Other then that I found them worth it, amazing sound, amazing bass nothing crazy like wearing over ear but jus enough..
The left earbud will not connect.

The left earbud will not be recognized by my phone or pixel bud case. Despite restarting phone and going through the Google troubleshooting. The right ear bud connects and sounds well.

Connection Issue Central

I had these for 2 weeks and in that time I had such poor connection issues with these. The sound was great as were the features that they had right out of the box. However, I should have to change the angle of my head to get the bud to reconnect. I returned them and purchased the A-series instead since I heard those were much better. Almost perfect, but I'm not settling for this price point.

I love how these fit. They actually stay in my ears without falling out. Voice calls are crystal clear. Sound is excellent. Connects instantly with my pixel when I take them out. My only big complaint is I originally bought these for the live translation feature and it doesn't pick up on conversations and the translations were not accurate.
Thoroughly research before you buy

Galaxy S10 and Pixel 3A XL– Best fit and best sound of any earbuds I've tested. However, first pair would not connect despite repeated attempts and troubleshooting. Returned and asked for replacement. Second pair, left ear sounded great. Right here refused to connect. This is a WELL DOCUMENTED occurrence with the Pixel Buds. I disconnected, "forget device," rebooted both phone and buds, and reset buds to factory defaults – several times on both sets of buds. If they work they're great. After having 2 pair fail to connect despite many attempts, I moved on to something else.

Pixel Buds 2 - Return to Sender

The in ear support (a voice gives you help about the touch controls) is excellent! The touch controls were a bit fussy, but I think you could get used to them. The phone integration was good. Unfortunately, it's not significantly better than what other earbuds and headphones provide. Not a make or break feature.I was most disappointed by in-ear translation. This actually requires you to use Google translate and constantly interact with it while performing simultaneous translation between you and the foreign (to you) language speaker. Don't get me wrong, the ability to do this in real time is amazing! The problem is, the earbuds don't function independently. I really think you're better off to ditch the earbuds and just use the translate app independently. So, the Pixel 2 earbuds aren't cheap, don't add anything significant to the experience and don't have active noise cancelling. Very disappointing. Ultimately, I sent them back.

Not bad but could improve on features

Not bad for my first set of wireless buds. As a new bike rider, it's hard to use gestures while biking, and the voice commands don't always work. Also, it will intermittently cut out at different times in both ears, sometimes triggered when I move my head (but sometimes not).I record using a USB-C mic, so it would be nice to be able to playback a video and hear it using my buds, instead of having to unplug the mic to get it working. If it's possible to monitor sound while recording, that would be even better.Another feature needed is the ability to hear sound surrounding you while biking. If there's a music mode which allows sound through to hear cars or bike bells, that would mean I wouldn't need to only listen to one bud at a time. If pausing allows audio to pass, then I won't need to take them out to hear while in conversation. It's quite a pricy product, so I expect more functions.
