[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use and fresh tasting. I use fresh basil all the time in my cooking. Fresh doesn't always last very long and frozen looses it's taste after a while and gets bitter. Very convenient packaging and easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using basil when cooking Italian dishes, butI could never use all the fresh basil before it went bad. I'm not a big fan of the dry basil because it loses that vibrant green color is sometimes the texture is off. Having never tried freeze dried products before I was excited to get the opportunity to see what it was all about. Wow! What a game changer exclamation this product has great flavor, texture, smell and color. I found my new way to incorporate basil in my dishes when fresh is not the best option.

A dark but fresh green color. I was pretty surprised to find it to be almost as fragrant as fresh basil! Better than completely dried basil. Nice alternative to fresh basil if I don't have that. I like that it's chopped already so I can just add it into food. No prep, no mess! So far, I've used it in pasta and soups and it tastes great. When it is in food, the texture doesn't feel like basil but more like cilantro. I like that it is a little bit dried because it lasts longer in the fridge than fresh basil, while still having a fresh taste. However, I probably wouldn't buy this because I saw the price to be on the pricier side for a tiny cup. Maybe rarely. I would recommend this for people who like to add basil, but would like for basil to last longer in the fridge than they can eat.

I was always someone who preferred fresh herbs in my cooking.... that was until I had kids. There's not enough time in the day and cooking can feel like a chore. This product definitely saved me time and was surprisingly good! I made a tasty pesto chicken that my picky 4 and 1 year old devoured! This will be on my list the next time I have a recipe that calls for basil!
