Grave Digger vs Earth Shaker Monster Truck

Trucks barely steer. Usable on flat even surface only.

Got these trucks for my boys and after a week, the tires for Grace Digger started to make cranking noises. It sounds like something is grinding in the back axle. Can anyone recommend what to do?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy was a hit with my grandson! He is 5 years old and is crazy about sharks, so obviously the megalodon was a huge hit with him. He really enjoyed having the 2 cars so we could play together. The controls were easy for him to pick up. He has had hours of fun with this pair of monster jam trucks! While the product does take a lot of batteries, they are included so we were able to play with the trucks right away. I would definitely recommend this for other monster truck loving kids!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unlike many remote control vehicles weve owned in the past, these trucks have the simplest controls, great for younger kids! The trucks are well-built and sturdy enough to fly off many ramps and hit hard, but keep on truckin! Another bonus, the set came with the batteries! The remote controls never became confused as to which truck it was controlling, and the radio frequency was always strong. Great set of remote control trucks for sure!

He said that he likes that they could go up small ramps, but wishes they could go up bigger ones. Also the batteries die incredibly quickly which he found to be quite annoying. He said its ok fun, but not the most fun hes ever had. Side note, weve had it a week, hes played with it twice and hasnt looked at it since. Mostly because the batteries are dead and when I asked if he wanted fresh ones, he said no, it was ok

As a parent of 2 kids I was also happy that it came with 2 sets of trucks so no fighting over the new toy :) My kids are 5 and 2 and this this was super easy for them to operate. Unlike other remote control cars we've had these ones were rugged and the controller was small so great for little hands to use. The buttons to go back and forth and turn were very easy that even my 2 year old picked it up in no time. I would have given this 5 stars had it worked better on asphalt. Inside the trucks went really quick and had no issue but outside they were slower and sometimes couldn't handle the bumps on the road very well. Overall these are very fun to use and worth a the purchase. Well done SpinMaster!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son absolutely loved these!!! There are surprisingly tougher than what you would think. They were great going over rocks and other obstacles, much better than other remote control vehicles that we have tried in the past. They are fast and very durable. I really like that the controls were very straight forward and easy to use. Just to let you know that my son is 14 years old and has Autism. There aren't many "toys" that he's ever been interested in, but he loves these. He spends at least a couple of hours a day using these with his friends. Thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't sure what to expect with these remote control trucks. My 7-year-old son has been given remote control vehicles as gifts in the past and he has never taken to any of them. In fact, he had a larger Grave Digger remote control truck a couple years ago. He played with it once, found it difficult to drive, and never went back to it. I was pleasantly surprised when we opened the Racing Rivals box that this Grave Digger was a more reasonable size. My son commented on it too; he liked that he could pick it up with one hand instead of requiring both hands. We popped in the batteries and he immediately started zipping it around the house. His 4-year-old sister couldn't let him have all the fun and quickly joined in with Megalodon. They swapped back and forth a few times. My son ultimately decided he liked Megalodon the best "because it drives better". I tried them both and I agree, Megalodon is more nimble. Grave Digger feels more clunky and not as responsive. My daughter is too young to notice or care about these things and quite proudly took ownership of "Digger". These have now become outside toys as they are more fun with lots of room to drive. The kids take them out for 20-30min almost every sunny day. They seem durable and the original batteries are still in them. I think older and/or more competitive kids might find Grave Digger a bit frustrating, but, for my two that are just driving them down the sidewalk for fun, they are more than good enough. The only thing I question is the inclusion of the cardboard "tracks". They seem pointless and wasteful. As my son pointed out, they are far too narrow to be real tracks. Even if they're set up more as barriers, both vehicles can easy drive over them. Overall, these are great remote control trucks for younger children.

Megalodon Racing Rivals Remote Control Trucks, the remote control are easy to use, they played for hours at home and even decided to take the trucks to the park! As a parent I can tell you that this toy made them very happy and it is a nice looking pair of trucks. He really enjoyed the ease of the controls and that the package came with two trucks so he could race his dad or friend. He wasn't interested in the racetrack but was otherwise happy. He said he wished the trucks went faster but still had lots of enjoyment from them. There was lots of tedious packaging so if you have an impatient child, I'd suggest unpacking them before showing the child. The description says you can roll them right out of the box but this isn't the case. The batteries are not installed and that was a bit time consuming by the time they were unpacked and installed. I do like that they came with batteries, however! Overall a fun toy for kids and it's awesome the package comes with 2, making it a lot more fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving the Monster Jam, Official Grave Digger Vs. Megalodon Racing Rivals Remote Control Trucks, it has been my sons ravourite toy. He plays with it everyday with his dad. Lthese trucks are very tough. I'm surprised they are still I tact after the amount of all the "jumping off" the stairs they have gone through. They are easy to navigate and my son loves doing stunts with them. The race track guide is a great way to add more hours of fun because they are trying to follow the course. The only issue we has was unscrewing the battery cap on one of the trucks and it took 5 people to keep trying we were all pretty tired by the time we got it to unscrew. We changed the screw so I should no longer be an issue. I highlybrecommend this toy for any kid that loves race cars and trucks. This is also a fun toy to play with the grownups.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had the opportunity to review the Official Grave Digger VS. Megalodon Racing Rivals remote control trucks for free and my kids were thrilled! While we have had many remote control trucks and cars in the past, the unique thing about this toy is that it comes with two trucks so more than one kid can play at a time and that was a hit for my kids. Also, the remotes are really easy to use which was another plus for my kids. They loved crashing the trucks into each other. One downfall I'd say was the paper tracks which weren't very good at staying on the ground - but my kids had plenty of fun creating their own routes without them.

Him and my husband have been crashing them together, building ramps and making them flip off ledges every time they play with them. I will admit the battery compartment were childproof for me...took us awhile to get them open. I think if they could improve on it, even if it meant paying a bit more, put a rechargeable battery internal and charge with a usb port cable. Otherwise lots of fun!!!

All the batteries are included and that a bonus. These trucks are pretty powerful and fast, my son and I had hours of fun. They were used mostly on our driveway where the ground is flat. He loves monster trucks and has been constantly playing with them and eagerly wanting everyone to race him. These two trucks are powerful and pretty fast, but not so much to damage any furniture which is a huge plus for my sister. My nephew didnt care much about the racetrack pieces and only used the finish line piece, but its a cool addition for other kids. Its super fun for both adults and kids, as the competition always gets heated as everyone wants to win! The only thing is that these trucks run better on flat surfaces and cant withstand too many hills and cliffs outdoors. Other than that, highly recommended! #gotitfree #FamilyRatedClub

Not the best on grass unless its super short but ours is dead with long weeds. Works well on pavement. Not sure if its meant to be used inside or outside but the girls love them.

Inside or outside these trucks are great entertainment for the kids. With their rubber tires and bumpers, I don't have to worry about them damaging the furniture or hurting their toes. They are powerful, but not too powerful as to cause any damage upon collision. This has become my daughters' new favourite toy. #gotitfree #FamilyRatedClub
