A wonderful eye-catching little plant-based book

5 out of 5 stars
Gal - 4 years ago
As with other Nigel Slater's books, this one is a wonderful eye-catching little book with beautiful, simple photography. Recipe titles are brief and list-like ("Pearl Barley, Kale, Goat's Cheese", for example) and almost every recipe has an accompanying photo and poetic sub-heading ("Nutty grains, melting cheese, tender greens”) so you get some kind of idea of what it is you are cooking. All recipes are plant-based (vegetarian). Chapter headings are organized by how you cook and serve the food: In a bowl, In a pan, In the hand, In the morning, In the oven, On a plate, On the grill, On the hob with a puddings chapter at the end.
