- Develop social skills such as taking turns and following directions while reinforcing color recognition, quantities and counting by ones with these best-selling preschool games.
- These cooperative board games allow players to work together as a team to roll the dice and pick the matching fruit from the orchard before the raven makes it down the path to steal it all.

Description
A simplified variation of the classic "Orchard" game adapted to suit players ages 2+, this game has been enjoyed by families for over 30 years. Your child will love playing the My Very First Games - My First Orchard game, the perfect "first" game for ages 2 years and up! The fruit pieces are large, designed for smaller hands, and included is one sturdy basket for children to share for a cooperative game. This set can be used as both a game (with game boards and die) and also as a pretend play set of solid, wooden fruit. . Players roll the die and collect the fruit, hoping to harvest it all before the pesky raven reaches the orchard. If the raven is rolled on the die, the raven moves one step closer to the orchard. This cooperative game is designed to foster social skills, develop color recognition, and teach counting by ones. Cleaning Instructions: HABA recommends using a cloth lightly dampened with warm water. If you wish to disinfect the toy with a cleaning agent, use a small amount of either water and a mild dish soap or a water & vinegar essence mix. Both options work extremely well in destroying bacteria and cleaning wooden toys. After cleaning, wipe the toy dry with a clean cloth. Remember, Wood is a natural material that soaks in moisture. Do not ever submerse wooden toys in water or place in a dishwasher. Disinfectants (even organic baby wipes), should not be used as they can damage the water based protective coatings applied to protect the stains or paints beneath.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very, very simple game, easy setup. The kiddos had a great time with it. The sturdy wood pieces are absolutely beautiful. We played 3 times straight away and we won twice and the crow won once.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Age appropriate: My 2 1/2 year-old understood the game in just 10 minutes and could then play without direction. The game pieces are all wood, no plastic, which I appreciate. Recommended.

Bought this when my toddler just turned 2 thinking she’d grow into it and in the meantime it comes with nice fake wooden fruit. I was surprised how fast she caught on and quickly was able to play the game in full, even several rounds.

I already played that game when I was a kid and I just love it to play it now with my 2 year old. The quality is amazing. And he loves it to put the fruits on the tree.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our two year old grasped the rules after a single game. She now pulls it off the shelf at least once a day to play. The colorful fruit is just the right size for little hands and she even enjoys feeding it to the crow when we “lose” the game.
Great for learning colors and counting!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 2-1/2 year old granddaughter was not interested in playing the game, but she loved organizing the different fruits. We can use the fruits for counting and colors. At some point we will encourage actually playing the game. Wonderful quality. I will buy more from this company.

My son got this for Christmas when he was 2. It was such a fun first game for him. The pieces are great quality made of wood and larger for little hands to grip. The thing I love about this game the most is that it has stood the test of time. It’s still in our rotation and he’s almost 6 now. So simple and really love the cooperative play. We got creative and made up a few different ways to play. If we win, we give the Raven a piece of fruit because we “saw how hard he was trying and he was probably really hungry.” We’ll play several rounds at a time. This game is such a sweet little gem.

It is so hard to find games for a two year old. They either take to long to play or are not made well and get destroyed. That is not the case with this game. The cardboard is strong and the pieces are large and colorful. The rules are simple and the game can be completed quickly. My child loves it and we usually play it 2-3 times in a row. Thanks Haba for making games for younger children!

Bought this game for a 1st birthday. It will be used for color matching first. The pieces are solid wood. We have to watch the stems of the fruit because they may be chewed off. I wish the stems were not on the fruit for safety reasons. The fruit would have been just as cute without the stems. Once she gets older & understands the concept of playing a game, then we will use it as it was designed to be used. It is sturdy & a cute 1st board game. My Mother was 100% German so we had German toys when we were young. Gesundheit and danke schön.

We've been playing this game with my 2, now 3 year old granddaughter for a year now. She loves it! Sometimes we root for the raven -- haha. It teaches, colors, taking turns, moving game pieces by rolling a die -- even setting up and putting the game are valuable skills for a young child. Highly recommend.

This game is our FAVORITE first game for a child to play! It was easy enough for our 2 year old to play but fun enough for the whole family. I love that it is a cooperative game instead of a competitive game. It makes learning how to play a game easy and fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great first game for little ones! No one person wins or loses, promotes a team effort to beat the game. The pieces are well made and intriguing for little ones. We have enjoyed playing this a lot.
