Q: What size hose will connect to this dehumidifier and can it be set up to drain automatically?

submitted by SDMAIRS - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi - Thanks for reaching out to us and for your interest in a Haier dehumidifier. You can attach a standard garden hose to the unit and it will continuously drain the water from the bucket. It is a gravity drain so the hose must lead down to a floor drain or similar drain location. We hope you choose this great model for your home. Kind regards - Vikki@Haier

Q: Does the dehumidifier run continuously or does it shut off when it hits the desired humidity level (even if the bucket isn't full yet)?

submitted by NL - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello – that’s a great question! This model can be set to run continuously (when attached to a drain hose) or to stop when it reaches a set humidity. To learn more, see the Controls section of the manual, which starts on page 5. The manual can be found on the QPHR50LZ product page on the Haier Appliances website. We hope this helps in your decision making and feel free to reach out anytime with additional questions. All the best! Lauren@Haier

Q: Where is this dehumidifier manufactured?

submitted by Memewano - 3 years ago
  • A: Hey there, Thanks for this awesome question. Our dehumidifiers are made globally to our specifications. The country of origin is shown on the Model/Serial rating plate as well as the packaging. Manufacturing facilities (plant sites, where appliances are made) can and do change from time to time because GE Appliances continues to seek the most efficient manufacturing processes available. We make products all over the world for a Global marketplace. Therefore, your best source for manufacturing location is the packaging/product itself. Let us know if you have any questions.
