Q: Material: Pine, Plywood (Frame) Surface Material: Plywood What does Frame mean? The walls, shelves, and back of the bookcase is solid wood? And what is surface material? You mean all the wood is covered in plywood veneer?
A: This is NOT solid wood. It's just plain old plywood with a cheap veneer. False advertising to describe it as 'solid wood'.

submitted bySimpliHomeProducts - 5 years agoBrand expertA: Cheaply made so we disagree that the thin plywood will hold 110 lbs. Note the manufacturer says 'total weigh capacity' is 110 lbs. This means that it will hold ONLY 20 lbs. per shelf.
