I rarely write reviews but this thing has been a lifesaver. I’m scared of what will happen when he grows out of it!

This is good in concept but I have found that because babies are so too heavy, my baby’s head ends up a little lower than her feet. I would not repurchase and would return if I could.

Really like that this helps our little one feel more secure and settle himself back to sleep, and is made by HALO so I’m not concerned about him sleeping safely.

This was a life savor and I wish we would have had it from day one. Our little one would only sleep while being held. We bought so many bassinets, a swing, bouncer, snuggleme etc and nothing worked. It holds him like a little hammock and he will now sleep. If your baby dislikes being on their back and being anywhere other than your arms, give this a try.

My newborn refused to sleep in our Halo bassinet and would keep us up all night. We finally gave in and started co-sleeping with her so that we could all get some rest. At three months I purchased this insert and she slept in it the first night with no problem! We’re now on night four and I couldn’t be happier.

We ordered the newborn insert the next day, and it helps limit the startle reflex.… pair that with the halo sleep sack with her arms out, and we are getting a few hours of sleep at a time where she stays in her bassinet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was not worth it. It doesn’t even fit nicely in my halo bassinet. I wanted something that would be snug on my baby, not whatever this is, it does literally nothing. I might have bought it for a different purpose than advertised, but it should have at least fit in my halo bassinet. It did not, it was so loose. Multiply people tried to fit it properly but it didn’t work. If any desperate parents are out there wondering if this will help your baby sleep better, don’t get this. Companies prey on desperate parents. Do t get this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HALO Newborn Insert offers a commendable solution for parents navigating the delicate fourth-trimester transition from the womb to the bedroom. Crafted from soft, breathable mesh, it aims to replicate the feeling of being held, promoting a sense of security and potentially aiding in quicker and longer sleep durations. My little one has slept just as well in this as she has in our arms. (Better than some of our other options/gadgets for her to sleep in) While the concept is promising, some aspects prevent it from achieving a perfect rating. While the insert securely attaches, the clips can sometimes be frustrating to attach. Additionally, while the see-through side allows for easy monitoring, visibility can be somewhat limited in certain lighting conditions. Despite these minor drawbacks, this insert is still a very practical choice for a safe sleeping solution for newborns. Bonus points for being machine-washable, which makes for easy clean-up when necessary. While this insert may not be without a few flaws, it still gets a solid four stars for its comfort and convenience. We had trouble getting our one month old to sleep more than two hours at a time. Since setting up the newborn insert he has slept more and more each night. It helps him feel cuddly and held without actually being held. Now mama and daddy can get some more sleep!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a big fan of the HALO BassiNest Newborn Insert. It’s very easy to install, you just take it out of the box and clip it on to the bassinest. The best part about the insert is it provides a cradled effect to my sleeping baby. I think he feels more supported and secure in the insert as opposed to just being on the big flat surface of the bassinet. Baby is still resting flat on the base of the bassinet and the mesh siding makes it safe for baby to breathe if he smooshes his face to the side. We started using the insert when my baby was between 3 and 4 weeks old and he started settling more easily and sleeping longer stretches. He’s 7 weeks now and we are still using it every night. The bottom part is padded for extra comfort, and everything is very secure. Depending on which Halo bassinet you have you can easily change the height with a hook and loop method. Each setting (there's two) are clearly marked so you don't have to guess which one to set yours to as long as you know what style of bassinet you own. It clips on very secure to all sides, and you're still able to use the bedside pull down bar feature. Overall it does a great job at keeping my newborn in one spot and not keeping him in a large sized bassinet. I also feel like it helps keeps him more on his back and less likely to roll.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Halo BassiNet Newborn insert was surprisingly cool. I didn’t know what to expect when I received this item but it was very easy to install and created an almost “hammock-like” sleeping area for baby. The material is so soft and the front material is more see-through than the back for those middle of the night check ins. It took a second for me to figure out how to readjust the Velcro to fit our Halo Flex Bassinet but once I did, it took seconds to install however I never did get it to lay quite right. I may need to adjust it further. The instructions state that it is machine washable although we have not yet had to test it out. It is bright white so hopefully it releases stains well if we have a midnight blow-out. Overall it provides a nice cozy sleeping area for baby and was super easy to install. Would recommend if little one needs a more snug sleeping area to squeeze out a little more shut-eye for yourself. I did receive this product as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

The design is very user friendly. I don’t think it helps my little one to fall asleep faster but he is definitely happy and easy for parents to take care of him during the night.

The mesh sides provide a cocoon-Iike effect, helping your baby feel secure. The insert helps to keep my newborn calm and comfortable. It was easy to install, with clips that lock into place along the rim of your bassinet. The mesh fabric is breathable and easy to wipe, but I do find it difficult to get it clean after a spit-up episode. Overall, I’d recommend this newborn insert for anyone looking to provide their newborn with some extra comfort during the first few weeks!
