My newborn loves this swaddle. I feel like we've tried every brand of swaddle stores sell and she does best with this one. It keeps her arms snug but not so tight across her chest. It gives her the snug feeling that helps her sleep without making her feel like she needs to fight out of it. My biggest complaint is the velcro, it's very strong but extremely loud. I wish we could take the 'quiet velcro' feature from other swaddles and put it on these and they would be perfect.
Not safe, newborn pushed top layer over face

My 3-week old baby was able to push the top layer of this swaddle up over her face in the middle of the night, even when velcroed across her body. This swaddle is NOT safe. So thankful we were watchful and saved her. We will never use this swaddle again.

Thank you for the honest review. We're sorry to hear about this experience. Because Ideal Temp has a naturally stretchy fabric, we do recommend sizing down if you're between sizes. Otherwise, swaddling arms out can be a solution for more wiggly babies who use their hands during sleep. That said, we're sorry to hear this and have shared your feedback with the larger HALO team.

Best swaddle option for newborns! We ordered this after using the birth centers, and it is perfect. It's easy to use and you can customize it to your baby. Our baby loves having his arms out, but we were still able to give him that swaddled feeling.

Although this product did help keep my baby snug it had a horrible smell to it. I left it on the first part of the night thinking a skunk sprayed outside my house and then realized that it was actually the sleep sack. It is a weird chemical/skunky smell. Definitely don't feel safe allowing my baby to breathe that in.

It has a strange chemical scent that won't come out with washing. It's really odd and makes me uncomfortable putting it on my newborn at night. It worked decently otherwise but like many others mentioned the Velcro was too sticky and annoying to try and get on the baby.

Terribly small! This was way too short for my average sized newborn from the get go. It also has a weird chemical smell that doesn’t come out even after multiple washes. I’ve loved other Halo sleep sacks, but this one is sub par.

This swaddle is so soft and comfortable my baby falls fast asleep the second she is in it. The Velcro is also placed perfectly. It’s done in a way that it doesn’t touch the baby’s delicate skin

Loved these sacks for the first months. The wrapping options were wonderful as baby bounced among preferring arms up, in, or out. Temperature regulating fabric helped ease worries about baby being dressed appropriately.

We have the original "100% Cotton Swaddle Wrap" and love it. For some reason, they changed the velcro on this "Ideal Temperature" version and it takes my full strength to rip the velcro apart to unwrap the swaddle. I will be returning it immediately to purchase the orginal version.

We LOVE our cotton Halo swaddles! I was very excited to try the ideal temp one BUT the velcro is SO HARD to undo. I felt awful having to pull on it so much with my newborn getting upset! I really wish we could use this, but there is NO WAY I feel comfortable putting my baby back into this swaddle :(
