It's not horrible by any means, but to me the flavor is more like malted chocolate with no caramel. There's a frozen swirl of thin solid chocolate in the center. The texture is so strange, it doesn't resemble ice cream like their low calorie options. Unless it's melted you have to chew it.

I think it's decent, especially for keto. Does it taste like the ice cream that we're all used to no. Is it palatable yes. There are very few ingredients, which is great. I do feel like they could improve on this specific flavor. It will help with the sugar cravings, though, while on Keto.

The flavor is fine. The texture is not. The best way I could describe it to my husband was that it’s like licking a fleece blanket. He laughed at me, told me there’s no way that’s real, tasted it, and then agreed that that’s exactly what it’s like. It’s truly horrendous.

I think it’s easy to see who is actually doing a low carb diet and who isn’t. If you’re actually doing low carb/keto and have had little to no sugar intake this stuff is AMAZING. Yes, the texture and flavor is nowhere near as good as real ice cream but when you’ve been getting by on a small square of dark chocolate or a dollop of whipped cream this stuff is next level!!

Love! So this does have a different texture from ice cream, but it is not what other people make it out to be. I am convinced those people are looking for a reason to consume massive amounts of sugar (60 grams to be exact) in calling this chalky. This has a crunchy chocolate taste, and I like to constantly flip around the “ball” or “chunk” and get the melting parts. I ate this in my car after drive up pick up, and more than anything guilt free. Any texture differences from ice cream are easily outweighed by the health benefits of not consuming voluminous and ungodly amounts of sugar in one pint of ice cream.

Probably the best keto ice cream flavor on the market! Creamy, flavorful awesomeness! I just wish Halo Top made more "keto" flavors like they used to. They're new formulas aren't as low carb as they used to be.

I was so excited for this flavor but it was out of stock every week until I finally got it. I figured it must be amazing to constantly be out of stock. When I got it home I went to try it and could barely even get any out without bending my spoon. The container is like a container of lead and the consistency like chalk. I didn’t think it was possible to have a worse ice cream than the vegan ones, but by God the did it. I will likely not eat it at all (I actually don’t think it’s edible) and won’t be buying it again. Save your money and stick to the regular ones.

Take a stick of sidewalk chalk, dust it in cocoa powder and freeze it if you want to experience what it tastes like. I'm one of those "great depression" era people. If it's vaguely foodlike I'll eat it. I took a few tries with this, turned it over and dropped the "ice cream" into the sink. Four hours later it was still the exact same shape and size, but it was no longer cold.

Mixed reviews could be lack of consistency but every flavor I’ve tried has been horrible. The flavor itself is not bad, it’s the texture. The ice cream never melts and never becomes creamy. Like other reviews, it’s chalky/ flaky, just plain weird. It’s like my mouth likes the flavor but confused by the texture. It’s an odd experience, I will not buy this again.
