Carolina Living Halsey Console

For all of the effort that was put into packaging this table sufficiently, you’d expect better quality from the actual item. If you don’t mind purchasing, attempting to build, returning, and then repurchasing this item multiple times, go ahead and order. I just received my third order of this console and finally have one that’s worth keeping. The first table couldn’t even be put together because the metal was so bent out of shape. It also had black paint missing all over the frame. The second table I was able to hammer the metal pieces enough to get it put together, only have to the screws strip. That table also had screws from the frame poking through the wooden cubbies and multiple spots with chipped wood. The third table went together without issue. There were just a few spots on the frame I need to color with a black sharpie.

Love this item!!! Got this because it’s a dupe and looks exactly like the west elm console table!!! But cheaper!!

I have not put this table together, which it seems people have struggled with but, from a quality standpoint, this table is identical to the West Elm Industrial table. I have both the WE table in the mango wood, and purchased the darker version from Target. The quality and size are the same. I've stacked the tables in the picture so you can see them "side by side".

I ordered this table and it arrived. I got everything out, went about step 1 before realizing I couldn't get it past there as the metal leg that needs to slide into the table was bent. I repacked everything, back it went, and I waited for a replacement to arrive (Target, replacing the damaged piece is likely far easier and a lower carbon footprint that making people return the whole thing). New one finally arrived, and I was at least able to get past step 1, but I could not for the life of me get the lower shelf into place. Everything seemed straight, but one part I could not make align with the screws. Given the paint missing around the screws, this one was previously returned for likely this exact reason. Not wanting to deal with the return process AGAIN, I figured I just wouldn't put anything heavy on the bottom shelf and pressed onward, only to hit ANOTHER roadblock. Of the 8 screws, one I wasn't able to do anything with, one was stripped, and one could not be fully flush and sticks out a few centimeters. It looks nice, but the shoddiness of it all has me pretty annoyed. I wonder if the West Elm one for twice the price has the same QC issues.

Love it! It was very simple to assemble and is very sturdy. It’s just as described.

Here's the thing - it looks great once it's together, but it's REALLY poorly made. The metal frame has shoddy welds, which makes it so that the pieces of the frame don't align. I had to use a hammer to bend the frame into place so that we could assemble it. Since a review from a year ago says much the same, their assurances of quality improvement seem pretty empty. That said, I was able to bend it into place, and now we've got a nice looking console. :-) It asks below if I would recommend this product. If you're not afraid to get your hands dirty and use some, ahem, percussive maintenance, go for it. If you want a product that fits together out of the box, this is definitely not for you.

This table is nicer than I expected. It's cute and stylish with a satiny finish that fits the rustic look of the wood.

Love this purchase! It came packed so tight and cozy, there was no way it was getting scratched or damaged in transit. In fact, this is probably the best packaged piece of furniture I've ever purchased online. It was super easy to put together, even if it was a little difficult getting the pieces to align, I manged to do it. The quality is really good, doesn't look like cheap particle board. Would recommend.

This console is gorgeous! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price. The wood is real hardwood and such a beautiful deep color. So easy to put together, took less than 10 minutes. It’s very sturdy and so nice. I love it!

Love this table! Super stylish, perfect fit for my tiny entryway!

I like how the table looks but the quality is not the best. Trying to assemble this was tough because nothing was aligned as it was supposed to be. Great looks/design but poor manufacturing would be my summary.
