I love the heavyweight cotton. I love the color. I hate the collar tags. They scratch. They turn up, making them visible to anyone behind. I'm constantly reaching back to make sure they are down. Hard, stiff collar tags are so much from last century. Argh.

Too bad Haines has not kept the printed, tagless, shirt. Instead they have a double tag, that is not easily removable and when you cut the label out, it leaves a relatively hard remnant (cutting too close threatens to destroy the seam). Such a shame that they once had a label printed, in color, at the back of the neck and now they have this wretched label. It absolutely detracts from my willingness to buy more of these shirts, although the shirt itself remains excellent.

I’ve been buying Hanes beefy tees for my husband for over 10 years. I had to buy the regular white tee because I’ve not been able to find the tall version in large for about a year. My husband likes these shirts but he is tall. I don’t understand why there seems to be a shortage of tall white tees in large.

By definition a Beefy T should be a 100% heavyweight cotton shirt. These shirts are a solid medium weight. Heather colors contain plastics which make the shirts even lighter weight. HOWEVER, I actually prefer the heather shirts. They are very comfortable and semi elastic. As a person who wears both 2x and 3x clothing, these 3x shirts fit perfectly after the first wash. They shrink a LOT. Shirt length is perfect IMO. I'm 6'-0" and 3 bills on a good day.
