A: It first, when you spray the Charcoal Purifying Dry Shampoo, you will see the formula appear white on your hair. After waiting 30 seconds, brush through or massage with your fingertips and the rice starch formula should blend seamlessly into all hair shades without leaving a chalky or gritty residue.

Q: Why does this product contain benzyl benzoate? I understand that benzyl benzoate is an organic compound, but its also a scabies pesticide which can cause some nasty and severe side effects.

I spray it in at nighttime and sleep on it, and when I wake up it greatly reduced the greasy look and feel in my hair. It doesn’t leave a bunch of white powder behind. The scent/aerosol is really strong for me so that’s a small downside but not a deal breaker. I appreciate that it’s free from harmful ingredients. Overall I really like this dry shampoo.

This charcoal dry shampoo from Hask performs better than most other brands I've tried, but not as well as the product I normally use. The chemical smell is overpowering and this dry shampoo left a bit of a white cast in my hair, even after shaking it out and brushing it, but it seems to absorb enough oil to make it through the day without my 2nd day hair looking totally disgusting. This isn't my new go-to, but it will work in a pinch.
Used once and gone. New packaging leaks. I tried twice and the same thing happened.

It does not have a tacky consistency and leave the hair refreshed. Based on the consistency and how it sprays that its good for in between washes. Its very lightweight, so it doesn’t feel product heavy.
