Q: Is this frame made from solid oak or MDF?

A: All of our oak picture frames are made from 100% North American White Oak. We don't use any MDF or composite woods on any of our frame profiles.

Q: Am I able to add my own matting to this frame?

A: Yes, you can add your own matting as long as it's relatively thin. I think anything over a 1/8th of an inch should have no problem fitting inside the frame.

Q: The 11x14 frame description says it holds 1 11x14 picture, but also the overall size (inc. the edges of the frame itself) is 11x14. Does that mean it only holds an 11x14 pic if you cut off the edges?

A: The 11x14 frame fits an 11x14 picture. There wouldn't be a need to cut anything from the edges as the frames are built for 11x14 pictures.

I am honestly baffled by the positive reviews on these. They are cheaply made and a wavy, too shiny, cheap sheet of plexiglass instead of glass. They looked cheap and felt cheap. Not at all worth the price. Plus, you get charged for returning them. Buyer beware.
