A: I just received this. It really doesn't feel like wood. It feel more like a plastic or resin material. It is still cute, but I was a little disappointed.
submitted byW - 5 years agoA: Most furniture these days isn't made of real wood. If you want it to be all real wood then you need to shop at really high end furniture stores and be prepared to pay A LOT of money for it.

Q: Is the end table supposed to have dents, dings, and deep grooves in it? I just received a black one that looks like it was "distressed" at the factory. Your photos here don't show this at all.

Very sturdy, and came fully assembled. Only one small negative, there is some separation between the the lower shelf and two of the legs, causing the unfinished part of the legs to show. Strictly cosmetic, not structural, so I plan to just touch it up with a stain pen. Otherwise, very satisfied.

This is a great table. My only warning is for people with small children around. I attempted to ‘climb’ on it by stepping on the bottom circular rings. It immediately topples over. Statistics say that 99.9% of children will climb all over your furniture. Only having 3 legs is the culprit here. I would’ve kept it if it had four legs. I really liked it.

Think the guys at the factory were having a bad day when they made my table... nicks and dents and gauges all over the thing. Deep enough too so they really catch the light and look shoddy! This doesn't even look like reasonably used vintage furniture; it's more like something beaten up in the back of a few moving trucks. It could have been a nice table if Target just let the materials and design (without "distressing") speak for themselves. Very disappointed.
