Healthy Choice Simply Steamers Frozen Beef & Broccoli - 10oz

Typically my go to combination but everything about this was disgusting.

Looks nothing like the images. Small pieces of processed beef and tiny pieces of broccoli, False advertising.

Meat tasted like it had gone bad. Took 1 bite, spit it out, then threw it all away.

Do not buy this! It smells disgusting and taste bland.

The taste is not great or horrible… Fair amount of beef, rice and sauce for a BARGAIN meal…

The price was right and the macros look great for a petite person like me, but that’s the only nice thing I can say. Flavorless, watered down, mushy. Don’t be fooled by the photo on the box. I was envious of my dog’s dinner as I choked this down.

I enjoy eating the Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Beef Teriyaki, so when I saw this similar-looking Simply Steamers, I was sure I'd love it. I WAS SO WRONG. This was one of the most disgusting frozen meals I've ever eaten. I forced myself to choke down 2 bites to give it a chance. I first thought maybe I could add salt and some seasoning to make it edible, but I couldn't think of *anything* that would fix the taste. It was somehow bland AND strongly bad-flavored at the same time. The beef has a gritty, disgusting mouth-feel. The sauce is supposed to be sesame, which I like, but it tasted so repulsive, I couldn't even eat the rice and broccoli because they were mixed with the sauce. My bad experience with this has made me unwilling to even try any other flavor of the Simply Steamers line. I can't imagine how Healthy Choice got taste-testers to approve this recipe. Just a terrible, awful waste of money.

I followed the cooking instructions closely and it does not taste good, from the photo i expected it to taste like the ones you get at a good Chinese restaurant but nope. You get bland rice with a lot of duck sauce at the bottom and some pieces of meat and broccoli, i will say there was a good amount of meat for the amount of rice it came with though

They are frozen meals..., and exactly what one should excepted from a frozen meal as far as value, taste, quality, convenience and portion. Nothing too special, but they seem to be a bit on the healthier side of frozen meals, depending on what you need. I buy them for convenience when they are on sale for lunches or nights I don't feel like cooking.

I bought this a week ago and decided to try it tonight. Because I didn't want to cook from scratch. This is horrible, hardly any beef. I was impressed big pieces of broccoli, but the sauce is so stupidly sweet it ruins. The entire dish. I will never buy this again.

I STOPPED buying this, noticed it was different, they added Isolated Soy Protein WHICH MANY people ARE ALLERGIC to! There aren’t good choices out there in FROZEN GF or SOY-free foods….and THEY put soy protein IN a beef and broccoli/rice dish. The meat is just very BLAND also. Why bother have BEEF for protein, if you SUB-it with an isolated soy protein filler???

The picture on the box certainly doesn’t match the food!..very little beef ( which was actually good thing), little pieces of broccoli .Would not buy again and hopefully I bought this on sale. I added some sweet chili sauce and did eat it.

Personally me I love this meal. It helped me lose weight and with maintaining my overall health. I hope this meal has helped others also plus I love the taste of it, at first it seemed bland but after consistently eating the meal it was really good, I was just used to very high sodium and sugary food lol.

The food is good but why are the portions so small... Guys im 250 pounds and I get a kids plate come on now that is a tease.. its good though but dam quit rationing and feed.

Healthy choices always been a go to lunch option for me because it’s not only on the healthier side lower calorie but it’s a one and go meal that you eat and eat in the same bowl. The broccoli and beef steamers are tasty and you get plenty of meat and broccoli in each serving Out of all the steamers I think it’s in my top three of selections to choose from. I usually pair this with a side of fruit or a side salad for a complete meal and I usually garnish the microwavable product with extra sesame seeds and salt and pepper. Although the sauce is good and it really doesn’t need it. That’s just my preference, I would say I would buy it again, but I’m already buying it again. I keep them in my freezer at all times.

Very bland and not a lot of food

this frozen meal has been so bland since mid 2023.

First things first. It looked nothing like the box. It lacked in taste, portion, shoot, there was nothing appetizing about it. Extremely disappointed. I literally fed it to my dog. Hopefully he ate it. Sorry about the bad review.
