Love these extra large size hefty bags! I am even happier that they have the slide lock on them and not the Ziploc type seal. My only wish is that they made these… with the slide lock… In a four or 5 gallon size.

Quality not bad. Plastic material quite thick and sturdy but the zipper have to be careful to slides. Did hurry to slides closed then the slides head off from the plastic. But think u still open & closed the plastic bag without the slides head.

I really dislike this style zipper but Hefty was the only one with these large bags for so long, I didn’t have a choice. I generally don’t reuse them many times so I haven’t had an issue with the part you hold coming off, as happens so frequently with this style zipper. I use them for store baked bread loaves because the whole thing fits without having to cut it up! I also put multiple smaller bags in this large bag when sorting items or many toiletry bags when traveling. I can’t comment on its thickness compared to the Up and Up brand but will say it’s comparable to in between Ziploc storage and freezer weight bags.
