This is a very nice book for a newborn because the animals are in black and white and an infant can see them.

My 2 month old LOVES this book. Tummy time is a breeze!! I just prop the page open, and she loves to hold her head up to “read”. This animal version has much more detail, contrast and interest compared to the bug version.

Shiny pictures with high contrast - suitable for both newborns and toddlers learning to talk. My 15 month old loves it! He's able to turn the pages himself. We practice saying the words of the animals or their noises (noises is more his speed right now - but saying more words should come soon!)
Great first book!

Perfect for newborns to start getting into "reading" (aka exploring books) early! The black and white contrast and shiny pages really grabs the attention of their still developing eyes! Love it!

This has to be a book for infants, as there is no sorry here at all. Every page is Hello _____ (fill in animal name). So, basically a book of random animal names. My 1.5 year old wants nothing to do with it, and I don't blame him.
