This book is cute but you definitely need to sit with your kid and practice. For one, you need to pull out each page before you begin coloring. Then you need to experiment with the water on the paint strip, and practice. If you don’t use enough water you will not get any paint out if the strip and if you use too much water the paint is runny and you will ruin the paint strip. It will start to disintegrate. So the whole thing is not as easy as you would expect. Personally I usually do most activities with my kids and I have found that there is not enough paint in this strip to cover the drawing and that is me as an adult being conservative with the paint and liberal yet careful with the water.

The paper is too thin and there’s not enough paint. If you use too much water, the paint is too diluted and you get no pigment. If you don’t use enough water, the paint doesn’t transfer to the brush so you also get no pigment. If you swirl the paintbrush more than 3 times in the paint, the paper started to peel. The designs are cute and you can use crayons and markers. But since the paints are essentially unusable, I regret this purchase.

I like the colors and the painting process but the pink is kinda runs out quick and has no pigment and the brush is more of a reg one and it kinda doesn't get much color and when you paint the being wet makes the colors too light or the color runs out quick and you still have more to do. I wouldn't recommend this but it was fine if u have a toddler but not for someone like me who's 16 and wants to paint. This does not get messy which is good. So this is why I chose 3 stars
