HEM-ADPTW5 AC Adapter for Select Omron® Devices

It comes with an adapter. I have a question, though. Do I need to remove the batteries if I want to charge the unit? If so, how can I tell if it is charging or fully charged? There is no light indicator while charging.

The AC adapter works perfectly with my blood pressure cuff BP 7200. The cord is not too short if your plug is located away fro the cuff. Easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the charger a couple of weeks and only hooked it up about 2 days ago. It works fine. I’m not sure if it’s my imagination, or not, but BP machine seems to pump up quicker and quieter than with batteries. Looking forward to not having to change batteries all the time.

easy to use Iam happy that I did the omron blood pressure unit.

When I purchased my OMRON BP760N several years ago, it didn't come with an AC adaptor. If you routinely take your blood pressure, then you'll want a unit with an AC adaptor; otherwise, you'll be frequently replacing the batteries which becomes quite costly. Even though I prefer the portability of my monitor without the ac adaptor (required to plug into nearby outlet), the batteries don't last long enough to make it economically justifiable for not using an AC adaptor. This adaptor works great and saves the batteries. However, I don't know if you're suppose to keep batteries installed in the monitor or not when using this adaptor because there's no instructions. In any case, this adaptor is a great addition to my monitor and I wouldn't purchase a new blood pressure monitor without an ac adaptor.

The A/C adaptor takes place of expensive batteries; batteries quickly run out of power; the A/C adapter is well worth the purchase price.

What can you say about an AC to DC appliance adaptor? You plug it in and it either works, or it doesn't work. This one works fine, just as it should.

It surprises me that OMRON can't follow the norms in electronic sales and include the adapter with the unit at the time of purchase. Just think, if you did so then you could charge even more money at the point of sale. The unit and charger work just fine but it fries me that I had to go an extra step and order the adapter separately. Poor customer courtesy.
