Like many reviewers stated, it tarnishes quickly. I grabbed this after seeing the layered necklace trend all over the place lately. I loved it at first, but noticed that it is beginning to tarnish after only a handful of wears.

I wore this necklace for 6 hours and without any metal allergies, it made me break out in a hive rash all around my neck and chest. I figured the piece wasn’t quality, but a nice layering piece. Again, I reiterate that I NEVER have metal allergies. Not even nickel. I’m not sure of what this is made of, but invest your money in a higher quality piece.

The chain looses its gold overlay extremely fast especially if you wear it daily. Take care to not wear it in the shower or sleep in it to extend its lifecycle. It’s a great looking chain and I’ve repurchased this four times because I wear it a lot. Just be ready for it to go silver very quickly
