I felt misinformed by the title. I thought, and also double checked this online, that "hex" stands for hexagonal, meaning 6 sides. These dumbbells have 8 sides after counting them and should be advertised as such. I'm really hoping they still work the same as true hex dumbbells... I do movements like renegade rows where I need the dumbbell heads to be stable and flat sides for stability. Since these sides are shorter than true hex dumbbells I'm a little concerned.

Perfect addition to my home gym. They can easily be stacked with other weights. I would suggest to wear gloves because while the handle is easy to grip, it could become slippery if you sweat a lot. I purchased the 40 and 50 lb dumbbells.

Good addition to our home gym. Excellent quality and the size of the handle is good for our grip when lifting larger weights.

Was excited to get the 20 lbs Hex Dumbbell, but I noticed that it was leaving some sort of grease/oily residue on my wood floor and it also ended up staining my lululemon align shorts, as I workout in them. I'll be returning these and searching for a different material, as I do not want these to continuously leave unwanted stains and residues.

My husband has purchased several of these all in motion dumbbells. He loves the quality of these. Usually scoops them up on sale.

These are nice dumbbells and comfortable in hand but they smell horrible!! We had to leave them outside because the smell is so strong.

Absolutely REAKS!!! Gave off tremendously noxious smell for almost a YEAR!!! Do not buy!

Needed to add some more weights to my home gym aka my living room. It works, but the rubber smell is quite off putting. I thought it would dissapate after a while, but it's still lingering. I have to put it in another room. Otherwise, it works just as expected.

I’ve had these for a month now and the rubber smell is unbearable. That, and using them leaves a black residue on my workout clothes.

whatever the black stuff is on the side parts has developed a toxic odor like volatile organic chemicals after a while. it's too late to return this so I'm going to have to throw it away and it's basically just a ripoff
