I love this backpack. It is easy to wash in the washing machine and perfect as a toddler diaper bag and day pack. There is a smaller outer pocket that makes it convenient to put keys and small items for easy access. It is slightly smaller than a normal standard backpack so it is easy to carry around. There are 2 compartments. One large comparment with a laptop sleeve component where I put diapers, wipes and snacks. The laptop sleeve might fit just a small laptop though. One medium compartment where I keep sanitizing wipes, small lotion bottle, small sunscreen bottle, and sunglasse. As mentioned earlier, there is a small zipper pocket for keys and small items. The material is a rough but sturdy material. There are 2 water bottle pockets, one on each side and it is very sturdy. The water bottles fit snuggly and doesn't fall out easily. I like it so much that I am getting another one in a different color - one for when my son goes to preschool.

It seemed a little smaller than anticipated when I got it out of the packaging. However, it fits my needs perfectly. The material is solid if a little thin, including the laptop back padding. It makes the bag lightweight if that counts. Decent for the price I paid. 4 stars.

The design is very nice and it holds a good amount of things. It is comfortable to carry with both shoulder straps or just one. I would recommend this backpack to someone looking for quality, functionality, and a good look.

However, I was disappointed to find that it’s significantly smaller than I expected. I’ve been a loyal customer of High Sierra for years and have always been impressed by the durability of their products. One of my High Sierra backpacks even lasted me four years, despite heavy daily use. That said, the Outburst 2.0 feels a bit less robust than what I’m accustomed to from this brand. The material feels somewhat cheaper, which makes me question its long-term durability. I’ve always relied on High Sierra for roomy, long-lasting bags, and while this one scores points for style, it falls short in terms of capacity and build quality. Overall, while the backpack is aesthetically pleasing, its smaller size and seemingly compromised quality leave me hesitant to fully endorse it. If you’re looking for a compact bag for light use, this might fit the bill. But for those used to the spaciousness and durability typical of High Sierra, this particular model might be a letdown.

Great quality and plenty of space for all her books,also it has laptop compartment.Lots of built in compartments are designed to utilizing every space wisely. There are perfect-sized mesh drink-holder type pockets on *both* sides. The bag itself is made from high quality material, and the stitching seems to be pretty good,The zippers are solid and well-placed. It has several useful pockets to keep your items organized. The pocket on front of the backpack is handy for your phone, keys and other small stuff. The shoulder straps are easy to adjust, even with the backpack on,great padding on the shoulder straps. Overall I am very much pleased with this backpack.It’s large will fit tons of stuff and laptop. These backpacks are extremely well made. Highly recommended!!

The straps are super sturdy and padded not to hurt shoulders or back. I like the pocket in the front to stick something in. The dual water pockets are great for drinks! The padding is nice for storing electronics. Being able to easily clean this backpack is nice too.

You can put a small laptop in it and carry a bunch of school books! I like to use it for traveling and when we go out with the scout group we are a part of. I can fit the essentials and more. It's lightweight and very comfy on the arms with the arm straps. I love it and you will too!

The elastic is snug but can fit the larger bottles. The interior pockets are roomy but divided, so it will keep the chaos at bay. The outer pocket has lots of little slits to keep her trinkets and pencils organized. The straps are nice and padded and the stitching looks very strong. I have no doubts that this bag will last at least the schoolyear and beyond.

The pack measures about 17 inches by 12 inches and expands to 5 inches thick. Holds a 15 inch laptop. There are two cup holders on each side for extra beverage when desired. This pack has extra padding to protect your electronics and a front pocket to store the things you need to assess fast.

The two main pockets are great to separate lunch from school books/papers, just in case something leaks. The outer pencil pocket is super handy as well. The zippers seem quite sturdy just from the few times I've put her lunch in her bag, so no concerns there. Overall, highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughters gonna be starting fifth grade in the fall, and although she had the option of picking her backpack for fourth grade, she still chose a kid backpack, which she ultimately regretted after the first two months of the school year. This backpack came at a perfect time as she is less than two weeks away from starting another school year. One of the biggest things that she was worried about was her water bottle fitting in the side pocket, which has been tested on both side pockets to perfection! There are plenty of pockets, and her chrome book fits perfectly in the big pocket as well. We’ve even played around with the Straps and adjusted them to her ideal length. I fully anticipate this lasting all school year. Here’s to an amazing fifth grade kid!
