  • Ruin the witches' evil potion with a stun, work quickly to win before the rising sun.
  • Cooperative, easy-to-learn game based on Disney’s Hocus Pocus!

  • Work together to match ingredient colors and types to ruin the Sanderson sisters’ potion before the sun rises!

Description

The Black Flame Candle has been lit!
Now the Sanderson witches you must outwit;
or with a wretched evil potion,
a foul spell they'll set in motion.
Stun the witches and ruin the brew
before the sun can rise anew!
Work together to protect Salem's children and stop the Sanderson sisters from completing their wicked potion before the sun rises!
Playing Disney Hocus Pocus: The Game
In Disney Hocus Pocus: The Game, you’ll work together to ruin the Sanderson Witches’ potion three times before the sun rises. Hold a hand of ingredients—like purple Newt Saliva or blue Oil of Boil—and attempt to match all the ingredients or colors within the cauldron. Each turn, you’ll ask a question about other players’ hands. The witches’ spell is strong, though, and you can only as about the color or kind of ingredient! Then, you’ll play a card from their hand into the cauldron and draw back up to three cards.
Some ingredient cards have Binx or a spell book on them. Binx allows one player to lay their cards down so everyone can see them. This makes it easier for players to strategize. The cards stay there until Binx is moved. If a spell book is played, Winifred, Sarah, or Mary cast a spell! Draw a card from the Spell deck and do what it says. Spells generally do something to ruin your plans.
Players also have four “Tricks” to use; each Trick can be used once per game. Use Billy Butcherson, the Burning Rain of Death, a Circle of Salt, or Daylight Savings to help you along the way!

Super cute game. I love hocus pocus but the directions are very hard to follow. Once you do get the directions down it’s a fun and challenging game.

I got this to prep for our hocus pocus 2 viewing party. we played it out of excitement. i cant tell if it was open before, opened due to rough shipping or if it's just bad packaging design. the box doesnt stay closed well it does put it at risk for losing pieces. I still do not know if we understand the rules and are playin correctly. it was a very easy and quick game but we didnt use all the pieces and felt like we were guessing how to play the whole time. I wish the instructions didn't leave us scratching out head either way its a great addition to the collection.

Love this game!! I bought it for the Halloween season but I’ll definitely be playing it year round. I love that you can play with only two people but also can play with a group. The graphics are beautiful and fun to look at. It’s so much fun to play and addictive once you get the hang of it. There are a decent amount of instructions, but it’s worth it. Highly recommended!!

Super fun game! Played this game with my friends for Halloween and we all really liked it (we’re all in our twenties)! It takes a minute to get the hang of it since there’s a lot of little rules, but once you get the hang of it it becomes quite an addicting game. I highly recommend for any Hocus Pocus lover!

It was a fun game. The instructions are long but after a bit and reading the instructions as you go, it helped. There's one small part of instruction section (when you determine you can't play a card, you then need to do a spell card), that we could agree on what it really meant. You don't always win by stunning the witches 3 times which I think was fun to be challenged but it was a little frustrating for the kids (4 & 9) but they did want to keep trying so I thought that was good. We finally won after several attempts. We are not big game people/experts but my sister is and she said she enjoyed it but also felt the frustrations of not winning and needing to find out rhythm of communicating to get that win. I would recommend, especially those who enjoy the Hocus Pocus film.

Very fun! This game has a lot of replay value. It’s different than any other game I have or have played. It’s also fun because it ties into the movie but would be fun for people who have never seen the movie as well.

so for sure, the game was complicated. we won our first round which resulted in a huge cheer. but then it quickly followed with 15 minute debate on if we actually won or not. however, the experience of playing was a lot fun. we played a couple games, won against the witches & had some really good laughs. giving a five star review

Fun game with a quick play-through. In-box instructions are extremely confusing [I recommend watching a YouTube tutorial that makes a lot more sense]. Cooperative gameplay is a unique switch that prevents competition & arguing, but definitely encourages good-natured cheating to beat the witches.

A cute, well made game. It doesn't take too long to play which is perfect for the 8 year olds. Our puppy destroyed ours two days after purchasing and we will be buying another because we liked it so much.

I've waited my whole life to nerd out to something like this! I love Hocus Pocus so of course I had to get this game! Even if I don't play it, it's good to have it on display on my coffee table for fall. It reminds me a lot of Uno with a couple more additions. Like all games, it's a little confusing at first. But you get the hang of it after the first time. Kids and adults will like it!

Great game for fans of Hocus Pocus

4 out of 5 stars
Kellysummer - 4 years ago
A super cute fun idea that is mostly successful. You play the game as a team and try to beat the witches. It is a little gimmicky but we still play quite often. My main complaint is The rule forbidding table talk gets a bit confusing. You are allowed to ask one question on your turn and that is it. It creates kind of a grey area that allows for a lot of cheating. Otherwise, the game incorporates the movie very well and is a relatively unique fun game as well. I would definitely recommend to fans of the movie.
