A: Level of fire resistance varies depending upon contents and heat temperatures from fire. It will take some time but it is minimal. There is some insulation on the walls of the box, not the lid, which provides some fire resistance protection.

First, the product arrived in excellent condition. It is well made with just a key lock/open feature. I didn't want one with a battery operated lock device. The size is a perfect replacement for the safe deposit box at the bank which was charging $150 a month. This fire resistant security box cost much less than $150! Of the many places I researched, Target is your best bet ..free shipping and 5% off. I am happy with this purchase for my defined purpose.

I recently moved into my first home, and needed a safe box to store my important documents. This is large enough to do the trick. It comes with both a key lock, a combination lock, and a metal cord to secure it to a post or pole. It feels secure and heavy enough to prevent breakins.

It came dented in a couple of spots but it holds my collectibles well, and it feels sturdy. Im considering customizing it with some more foam on the inside as it only has a single layer lining the bottom.

This is a good size box. No issues on the the storage space. However when the box is locked, the box doesn't seal good. It is wiggly & you can thump the lid up & down even though its "shut". If you were to carry it with the handle provided this would definitely become a hassle, let alone an annoyance. Thus only 3 stars.

Perfect size for laptop and the egg carton type cushion inside protects it from jarring. My important papers are in notebook so this fits well in this.
