To create Horizon Growing Years 2% organic milk, we partnered with pediatricians to identify key nutrients for growing kids, ages 2 to 5. Every delicious glass provides 50mg of DHA Omega-3 to support brain health and choline to help transport DHA in the body. High vitamin D and calcium support strong bones while 1g of prebiotic fiber help feed good bacteria in the gut*. We've enjoyed Horizon as a brand and I love the extra vitamins in this milk. However, our local Target's stock always seems to be near expiring. I even once saw cartons that were a few weeks past the sell by date on the shelves. Check the date carefully and don't use curbside pickup for this item.

Unfortunately for me, my very particular 5 year old was able to taste the difference between this and her regular milk. The good news, I could just use these when baking or mix it in with other things so she didn’t notice the taste as much. I still love this product for kiddos and would recommend it…and for the record, I couldn’t tell the difference in taste!

She loves it, it has good taste, and we have peace of mind for giving her the best we can and there are no other milk brands that have DHEA that is good for brain development. Sometimes it is hard to find where we live, but not sure if it is a post-COVID thing. Although in 2023, I would think that would be resolved… but here we are laying a leg and and arm for eggs.

Also loved the fact that Horizon ORGANIC Reduced Fat milk has no added hormones, no antibiotics, & it's non-GMO, and is produced by pasture-raised cows. Horizon Organic for Growing Years is made for kids to drink during the precious growing years from ages 2 to 5 and is high in Vitamin D. It's the perfect milk for young children, and you feel so good about giving them this milk to drink. We will absolutely buy Horizon Organic for Growing Years --Reduced Fat milk again.

I never even knew horizon had this one on the market. Knowing my son can have one that's specifically for growing kids makes life so much easier and gives me a piece of mind knowing he's getting everything he needs AND it's organic this is a well loved brand in our house.
