[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old was so excited to open the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Arena Smashers™ Glow-in-the-Dark Gunkster™ Set! The first thing he did when everything was unpackaged was take the truck and track in the dark to see it glow. He loved making the truck do jumps and flips. I really like that the track golds up for easier storage. This toy is a great toy yo add to your Monster Truck collection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super fun! This was a fun twist on a track toy. We loved the glow in the dark feature. Plus, the sling shot that shot the truck was super exciting. Both of my boys, 5 and 8, enjoyed thus very much! Which doesnt typically happen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy enough for my son to put together with no help for once. Easy to use and incorporate with his other play pieces. The pieces would land properly maybe half the time, it could have also been the cars we were using. The glow effect is very light but still super fun for the kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to put together. The instructions were very easy to follow along. The stickers were able to easily fit in desired locations. My son had fun playing with this set. He did lose interest very quickly. It does not much play value. Once he figured out how far to pull the launcher back it was not a challenge for him.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 4-year-old chose this product because of the glow-in-the-dark feature. He was not disappointed. There are a lot of glowing areas on the toy! The launcher definitely takes skill to make the monster eat your truck, so it will encourage longer periods of play. While I as an adult initially thought this toy would have limited play potential, my kids have gotten a lot of use out of it already. The trucks don’t fly too far, so even small spaces work for play. An added bonus is that the toy takes up little room when collapsed into truck eating formation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Arena Smashers™ Glow-in-the-Dark Gunkster Set is pretty cool! This playset was very easy to put together. Having only a few parts, made it a quick set up. Included in this set was Gunkster (the monster truck), the large sludge monster playset, two crash cars and decal stickers. The bright green, that glows in the dark, sure draws you in and makes you want to play immediately. The monster truck gets launched from a ramp towards the sludge monster. Depending on where Gunkster hits, either the playset collapses by folding together “smashing” everything - or - the playset goes flat conquering the monster. Lots of giggles kept us playing for a long time, day after day. I do recommend Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Arena Smashers™ Glow-in-the-Dark Gunkster Set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves monster trucks and hot wheels and absolutely loves this toy. It comes with one monster truck and two plastic cars to "crush" but he can use all of his others to make this even more fun. I hear so many giggles every time the moster truck flies over the slime monster and even more giggles if the monster catches his truck. The only thing I've noticed that is slightly disappointing is that the majority of the time the truck flies over the monster and rarely gets caught.

Loved a new monster truck since he has a bit of a collection. Also the idea of the crushed cars were cool to him! The track part to shoot the monster truck across was fun and achieved the idea to hit the monster to fold down or open depending where it was hit. The thing that was an issue was the power it had to fling the car well past the part of the track to hit depending on where the monster truck was placed became more of a distraction to hit other things around him. He also was interested in being able to turn the arm that flings the truck to use more of the area in the middle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 year old son received the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Arena Smashers™ Glow-in-the-Dark Gunkster™ Set and liked it right away. It’s a glow in the dark monster truck arena that comes with its own glow in the dark monster truck. My 9 year old son was able to put the set together for the 4 year old without much trouble. It came with stickers and details of how to set it up. Then it was time to have fun! They took turns launching the monster truck it came with into the arena. The monster truck included also glows in the dark and has wheels that move like a real monster truck. It’s metal and well made. The “gunkster” in the play arena needs to be hit with the right amount of pressure in the right place in order for it to close in on the arena. If you hit another target it falls back, but my son wasn’t too interested in hitting that target. It took some practice, but soon they were able to launch the monster truck to the target so that it closes on the arena. My son thought it was really funny and he challenged himself to see how quickly he could make the gunkster fall into the arena. He had a good time making monster truck sounds and pretending to be the announcer! He really used his imagination. It’s easy to reset up without much parent intervention and it’s a fun set. No batteries or anything to worry about. It takes playing with monster trucks to the next level and my son had a good time pretending the monster truck was entering the arena. I just wish it were a little more sensitive. Sometimes my son hit the target on the “gunkster” but it didn’t close up as it should have. The picture on the box also shows the plastic cars it came with flying through the air when the target is hit, but the plastic cars never released to the air. All in all, it held my son’s attention and he had a good time trying to strategize how to hit the target with the monster truck it came with. It seems to be pretty sturdy and it will last a while. It’s all contained and there are no separate parts or anything for my son to worry about. There are also no sounds so that kids can use their own imagination! This set allows kids to take monster truck play to the next level.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, the packaging is excellent. Just looking at the box makes you think that it will be a fun experience. What you see on the box is what you get. The contents are perfectly represented in the picture on the cover. Nothing is really exaggerated. Next comes unboxing. Everything was nicely packaged and easily removed. Mattel has made the unboxing experience much more simple, which at face value not that big a deal, but in actuality it’s a godsend. We all know how impatient our children can get, and this feature relieves that pressure. Thank you for that. Play time! Gotta be honest, I didn’t think the kids would be very interested in this. It’s simple: you put a monster truck in what’s basically a catapult and launch it at the big green goo monster face. Hit the bullseye and it folds over onto your truck, encapsulating it. Hit anywhere else and it will either fold over backwards, or the truck just bounces off. Much to my surprise, the kids love it. May be because they’re boys and boys (especially mine) like to make cars fly into stuff, if not at each other. They were really psyched when I showed them that it all glowed in the dark. Nice touch, but not super practical.

It was easy to set up, my 9 and 6-year-olds did it by themselves, and it's a lot of fun to play with. They have enjoyed integrating some of their other Hot Wheels vehicles with this set. The glow in the dark feature is a lot of fun for the kids. The first night we had this toy they couldn't wait for it to be dark so that they could play with while it was glowing. This is lots of fun and I think my kids will enjoy playing with it for quite some time!

Everything came out real easy, assembly was a cinch but also just a fun experience. Colors were vibrant anf captivating. All pieces eith articulation were smooth, nothing was forced or felt stuck. The car came out with stubbing vibrancy and was drove exceptionally. The tires rotate smoothly and the axels moved seemlessly. The arm on the ooze monster is holding up much better than id expect, launching the car accurately. All in all, a great set.

The purpose of the toy is to aim and catapult Gunkster at the sludge monster. If you don't hit at the right mark, the sludge monster attacks the cars. It allows kids to use their imagination and my son loved the catapult to send cars flying. It also glows in the dark, which is cool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this toy a few days ago and my kids were very interested for about the first 45 mins but they weren’t really into the toy. We tried didn’t cars and the monster trucks and none worked . Every time they tried to hit the monster face it would go over and if they managed to hit the monster nothing happens. It was a bit disappointing. Unless I didn’t set it up correctly but I did follow the instructions and I even had my husband double check it .

The design of this arena is spooky and can glow in the dark, but not brightly. They were simple to assemble and took less than 10 minutes. My kids have fun playing launch, and aiming for the target spot that's on the monster's tongue or knocking down the monster. To them, it's exciting to smash and smack. The overall quality is good and stands up after being smashed so many times.

Luckily it was a quick build for my four year old who was very impatient to play with it! He loves using the launcher to knock over the monster. This toy has been engaging for him and has definitely been a new favorite around our house. He was also very excited to discover that it glowed in the dark! I like how the monster and launcher fold over making it easy to store under a bed or futon. Definitely a win for monster truck loving kids!
