Every-time my son asks to read this book I have to reread the pages because it makes no sense. The story doesn’t flow well. This is not a well written book. He only has asked me to reread the book maybe twice a year.

Hard to read to kids and the rhyme scheme isn’t great. Neither of my children enjoyed or have wanted the book reread.

This book should have one star not four. The other reviews are right - the book makes no sense. No flow, too many words stuffed into every line, forced rhyming. Awful.

Annoyed because the sticker on front would not come off. Ruined cover. Why do stores do this?

This is the worst children’s book I’ve ever read. The rhymes have no pattern and are very awkward to read. The first page almost seems like it belongs somewhere else in the book because it makes literally no sense. Other pages are the same and completely random and not in the flow of the book, if you can even say it has one. Please save your money and your brain cells and skip this one
Really Bad.

I have been reading children’s books aloud for over 20 yrs [elementary school teacher and mom of 6] …. and this is literally one of the worst books I have ever read. Not only is the rhythm/flow/rhyme nearly impossible to get into a groove with, but I kept thinking maybe there was a publishing issue and the pages were out of order or something because I could not logically make sense of what I was reading without extreme mental gymnastics. Our home is full of children’s books but this one is not staying.

We have the whole rainbow of books from this series! The 2 (including this one) by Alice are incredibly hard to follow & do not have a flow like the others.

We usually love the “how to catch” books, but this one just fell short. I see where they were trying to go with the spreading kindness and stuff, but honestly this book was super lame and they completely missed the mark

We love these books, but this was a miss. I literally went back and looked thinking the pages were out of order because I had no idea what I had just read. Even the first page I swore I must have missed a page because it didn’t make sense from the first sentence.
Don't do it-no matter how cute thr cover is!

I literally have NO idea what I just read! Nothing makes sense…I thought I was having some kind of medical issue because I couldn’t figure out if it was me not being able to comprehend or if it was what was written! This really is a great example of “don’t judge a book by its cover” -the cover is fantastic the book is not!
Terribly written. Beautiful illustrations. I do not recommend.

What the heck did I just read? My husband and I both literally asked this question. We bought this book because our child loves this series but reading this book made no sense, was a failed attempt at rhyming, and actually made we question my intelligence. Save your money- and your brain cells.

My grandson loves dinosaurs so I thought this would be a cute Valentine's Day Gift. I read the story when I got the book and was really disapointed. I'm a 59 year old librarian and had trouble making sense of it. I guess the author was trying to say be kind. Seriously, I don't think my 3 year old grandson will get it at all. Maybe his mom can use it like an I spy book and he can look for the LOVEOSAURUS in the pictures.

We have this entire series and this my least favorite we've ever gotten. It doesn't flow right and the story just isn't very good even though the message is cute.

We have seven “How to Catch a…” books and this one is our least favorite. It’s so hard to follow and there is no flow when you’re reading. It’s so hard to read aloud to our son.

My son loves the other books in this series so thought it was an easy win. This one is hard to follow and the story (while having a great moral) fails to deliver. It’s just simply hard to read. Bummed about this one :(
