So i had to make two attempts to get this book for my child. The first location, i did an online pickup and they ended up not having the item. The second location, i also did an online pickup order and when i came in to pick it up, it was all torn up on the bottom of the book BUT the customer service rep told me that this was the very last book in their store, so i accepted the damaged item without any discount.

This book has a ton of Pokémon, which is great. However, I’m disappointed that instructions for each are just a single spread and only broken down into a few very detailed steps. If your kid is already an artistic wiz or is 8+, this might be great. Unfortunately the steps aren’t broken down enough for my 6.5 year old.

This purchase was for my 8 year old son. I ordered and set it to pick up in-person at a Target location we frequent every Saturday. He was set as an alternate pick-up person, so as I started scanning our items a the SSK I asked him to go to Customer Service and inform them he was "picking up for " - surprised is understating it, the screech heard round the world is more like it. On to the book itself: I have no real gripes about it's delivery on the pages, very clear and concise, I would say that even as early as 4 years old could attempt these from a tracing perspective. With my son, he's been tempting his freehand ability and being a Jr. Trainer, he immediately jumped into the book on the car ride back picking out his first few projects and it continued for the rest of the day. When asked, he said, "this was much easier than trying to draw from the story books (graphic novels) or pictures online - this book has instructions, it's great!". The only con we have is that if you purchase this book with the intention of getting an Eevee section - get the non-deluxe. It confuses me why a deluxe version wouldn't have Eevee, not the several different evolutions, but BASE Eevee. We found a few instructionals online and printed them out then added them to this Deluxe version. I'm sure it was an R&D decision but someone not willing to go out their way to find print outs online would need to purchase both non- and Deluxe just to get a more complete collection of drawings and that method means you end up with some duplicate entries. Highly recommended otherwise.
