The story is one that keeps you going back to figure it out. Some minor characters I feel could have had a more fleshed out development, but overall it was a great read. Ending leaves much to the imagination.

I really thought this book was a lot of fun. I am not a teen, and I still enjoyed this story. It was entertaining and fast paced. Worth the read.

Alice Lawrence is the sole witness in her sister’s murder trial. Claire was a beautiful all-American theater star. Alice was the nerd who would rather watch horror movies at home than go to parties. Despite being so different, Claire and Alice were best friends and bonded by sisterhood. Until Claire was killed. Alice's life has fallen apart in the year since Claire's murder. Her parents are no longer together, her new apartment smells, and she has to face her sister's killer in a courtroom full of people who don't believe what Alice says she saw in that corn maze a year ago. On the first day of the trial, Alice is knocked out in the bathroom. She wakes up to discover that it is Halloween night the year prior, the same night Claire was killed. Alice has until midnight to find the killer and save her sister before another victim is killed. I know that this one is labeled as young-adult but I was hoping that it was still good enough for adults but I was disappointed. It was too juvenile for me and I wasn't a fan of the ending.
