Great Portable PC

It's a great portable PC. With touch screen, battery, decent speakers and the best portability, this is just what I needed. One thing is that it does not have anything to secure the PC. Since it's like a laptop with much bigger screen, I expected to have a lock hole for security but nothing. I had to make my own locking device to secure the PC.

I purchased this product. Thought it would work for me. However there are some glitches and support has not been able to help. I would like to return this item. Too expensive to keep if it doesn't work for me.

I'm not quite used to it yet. It still surprises how much more this machine can hold, and accomplish, in the amazing speed that it does it. It has made the other devices in my life seem like things from the bronze age. I do wish there were screen protectors, like with phones and tablets. And a carry case would be nice. Otherwise I really like it and I feel like this is my best tech purchase in 20 years.

Clever hardware let down by frustrating OS and installed software

TL;DR >> Great hardware bundled with meh OS, software, and shipped apps/utilities. The hardware is fantastic and there is great value potential, but ultimately the system is less than the sum of its parts -- innovative engineering let down by a less than cohesive software/OS package. The primary root is not the Envy Move or even HP, but to the whole PC ecosystem. Kudos at least to the HP engineers who innovate on design. ================ Hardware-wise, it's a clever design with great capabilities, mostly good specs and a lot of potential. The nits are that they supplied keyboard/trackpad unit is simply adequate, and it could stand to have one more USB port. All-in-all though, it's quite the capable bit of kit and was on track for 5-stars for the initial test drive. Still, several factors have lessened the user experience considerably. The focus has shifted from fun experimentation to making it stable and usable. That's disappointing. The software, primarily the OS but also the included software, really lets down the package. 'Fragile' is the best word I can come up with. Connecting devices is particularly frustrating, but even the shipped applications can be a challenge. And the more you try to fix whatever doesn't go properly, the greater the chance to introduce instability. It's easy to rollback if problems are hit, right? On the contrary, it can be a real challenge, needlessly so sometimes. In just over a month with the PC, I've performed a system reset, an HP Cloud Recovery restore, several recovery point fallbacks, and a recovery via a 3rd party system image backup utility. From what? Practically all was attributed to trying to get two MFPs fully operational, print and scan. What we get in 2024 is... -- An OS without adequate system backup/recovery tool. Huh?! -- An OS that ships with disabled system restore points, a way to recover from problematic software/driver installs. HP could do customers a solid and enable it. Some experiences from installs/setups -------------------------------------------------- -- Printers/Scanners/MFCs are aggravatingly problematic. YMMV, but expect to buy a new printer/scanner/combo if >5 years old and then be pleasantly surprised if it actually does work. I unfortunately was 0-for-2. ** New printer for me, check -- HP Presence software - has a really interesting feature of combining two camera inputs at one time for video conferencing. I was inspired to buy a high-quality webcam to team up with the built-in. In practices though, the framerates for the 2nd camera (when combined) were abysmal. Again, hours of camera vendor research, switching USB buses, different drivers, etc. all to no avail. ** Wasted webcam purchase, check -- The preinstalled "... Unison" software advertises a cool ability to use your tablet as a mirrored or extended screen. Except it doesn't work on the HP Envy Move. Learned again after a couple of hours, that's a so-called premium capability reserved for systems meeting specific requirements. The HP Envy Move incorporates a different vendor's Wi-Fi chipset. ** Dashed expectations mixed with "why didn't you just say that to begin with", check As much as I want to love the value and promise this system has, I'm aggravated by the innumerable hours already triaging the system already. When it works, it works great... it's just too easy to trip it up. Hardware let down by software.
A light and brilliant all-in-one designed for portability but lacking some desk-top convenience.

Fast and responsive processor and RAM. Useful design for portability with a handle, retractable legs, and a back-side pouch for storing the keyboard (included). Keyboard is a bit clunky and abbreviated with big keys and a right-sided touchpad. Have decided to disable the touchpad and use a mouse and my full-size keyboard instead. For desktop use I find it a bit short and use blocks under the legs. It does tilt backwards but not quite enough. Bright screen. Audio is good but not exceptional. Only two USB ports, one B and one C. Would have preferred two of each. Also a SD card reader and a headphone jack would be nice. Have compensated with a USB hub.
Clever design, easy to set up.

I have only had the unit for about a month, so there has not been too much time to explore. So far it works quite well. The keyboard and the computer are already linked, so there is no need for a USB port for that. I wish it came with an integrated mouse. Lightweight and takes up minimal desk space. I prefer a traditional office environment when working and this unit leaves plenty of space for my other paraphernalia. HP has been an easy company to deal with thus far.

I should have bought a higher-end computer. It was difficult (and costly) to increase the hard drive capacity. I could not get clear answers from HP on the SSD upgrade. Further, I realized too late that the RAM was 8 GB, and not 16 GB. It is also limited on the internal expansion slots as well as with outside ports. Our previous HP all-in-one was a better computer. On the other hand, it is very convenient that it has a battery pack and the height is great for someone with bifocals.

Love it but a few keys on the keyboard don't work intermittently.
Not cool with very limited ports on the AiO. In fact, I would not have purchased if I’d known

I love this computer, fast and beautiful display. I love that my phone connects to it and all my correspondence pops up on my screen. So text verification codes, right on my screen LOVE THAT! Emails, messages and everything else you get on your phone. I'd love to say perfect all-in-one, but the issue I have is no 10 key or mouse. I know it is touch screen and I have a mouse pad, but I am a bookkeeper and I use both 90 percent of the time. I had to bring in my old keyboard as it is comfortable for me to work efficiently. Overall great computer, love the bigger screen and the move factor, the little feet that kick out automatically and that screen leans back. It is a beautiful HP!

Our entire office was using laptops for work, until the Office Admins was going bad, and we got this computer for her. We are a construction company, and we use design software's, so having the touch screen and being able to move the screen to meetings is wonderful. It is also the perfect size to have multiple tabs/application up at one time. (That was a requirement of hers). We know when the other laptops start to go bad, we will be getting more of these!

What a nice-looking, functional computer. I like the off-white color, the tilting screen, the handy handle to move it about, the retractable legs when it is being carried, the pouch on the back to store the keyboard, the large screen size - very pleased with this item!

computer is awesome. works great. processor is fast. keyboard not so good. keyboard feels cheapy and the pad surface of the keyboard is not responsive. sometimes you have to click like 3 times to get it to work. but the quality and functionality of the computer is awesome. I wish they had like a 19 inch in this computer
