Hunter Fan 52" Anisten Energy Star Ceiling Fan with LED Light Kit and Pull Chain

As another reviewer has cautioned, these fans can only be wired to a single switch, and EVERY TIME you use the switch to control the light, the fan will come on. It will not come on at the speed or direction it was in when last the switch was used. The speed/direction will be seemingly at random. If you have small children, they will be baffled and, if it's winter, probably cold until you enter the room and pull the fan chain the appropriate number of times (as many as 4) to turn it off. Unless you mean to control the light/fan exclusively with the pull chains, and have no use for the wall switch, don't bother. Energy efficient, perhaps, but at the cost of functionality.

Bought 4 of these fans. THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO HAVE REMOTES. And do not buy if attaching to a wall switch. If you want to just use light and not fan using the wall switch you CAN NOT! The fan will always come on!

This fan does not allow you to wire to a two switch setup (one for the fan and the other for the light). Additionally, it appears to come with a wireless receiver, but no remote. It’s unfortunate the description was not clearer about these two limitations. I would be fine with the pull chains if I could have wired the fan side up to my second switch. Or, I would be fine with the single switch of it came with a remote.

I was so excited to get this because Hunter has a reputation for quality. My teen daughter recently painted her bedroom and has been discovering her own design aesthetic, which is a kind of modern-boho style. The fan that was in her room had been there since we moved in our house 13 years ago, so it was definitely time for an update. This new Hunter Anisten fan’s sleek design goes perfectly with her style, and it will also work great with my plans to turn that room into a guest room when she moves out, lol. She loves the way it looks in her space! This ceiling fan was very easy to install. My husband was able to do it, alone, in about a half hour. It’s whisper quiet, which I really appreciate, because there’s nothing that gets on my nerves more quickly than a squeaky or wobbly ceiling fan. The globe part of the fan that covers the light is made of plastic instead of glass, which is my only complaint, but it’s not that important, and you can’t tell unless you’re closely studying it. Plastic would actually be a great alternative for a child’s room or a porch, as there would be no chance of broken glass. The fan puts out great air flow in the space, which is imperative in my daughter’s room, as she gets the hot afternoon sun. I’m very impressed with the way the Hunter Anisten ceiling fan performs, and I’m thinking of buying another one for my office. If you’re looking for a solid ceiling fan that blends in with almost any design aesthetic, this fan is an excellent choice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to install. All that you need is included (led bulb, guide, etc) My husband installed it easily. It’s for our son’s room. The fan has a lot more air circulation than our last fan, which is a plus with our hot and humid weather.
