A: It's homeopathic, which means is has literally ZERO active ingredients. It's got fewer than a single molecule of the active ingredient in a swimming pool amount of this medicine. I'm not joking.

A: In the US there is no expiration date on the Hyland's 4 Kids Cold 'n Cough Value Pack because FDA has exempted homeopathic manufacturers from putting expiration dates on their product labels. Homeopathic medicines, when stored properly (away from moisture and excessive heat or cold), can be used for many years, even after opening. However, if you notice the appearance of the medicine has changed, you should replace it. Homeopathic medicine is truly a game changer and one we should all know about; but it can feel overwhelming. Hylands takes the guess work out of which ones to choose and the dosage. This is one of the things we keep in our medicine cabinet at all times, because you know children's sickness always comes in fast so we like to be prepared. My son doesn't like the flavor very much but he can manage it and it helps!

My daughters only symptom was cough and this medicine did not help with her cough. I don't know if she had gotten worse or the medicine has... did not work for us. Sad because it was a waste of money, and my kiddo is still feeling awful with no relief

I was hoping this would help my daughter with her congestion, sneezing and runny nose. I used the nighttime one and it literally didn't have any impact at all. She weirdly got super hyper and did not want to go to sleep. It was so strange, I felt like it had the opposite effect on her than what I was wanting or what was expected. Would not recommend.

The best medicine for my kids. It’s easy for them to take without complaint and works quickly. Out of all the “natural” medicines we have tried this is the best one. All my kids got sick at once and when I tell you this worked like a gem especially on my oldest who has Down Syndrome and a compromised immune system the cold went away quicker than usual and it was easy for him to take.

I’ve loved this stuff. You can tell a difference in your child quickly. She’s never complained about the taste and I feel like the nighttime version actually helps her sleep too. I was skeptical since it’s a more holistic approach and sometimes those don’t work as well as the harsh medicines but I was pleasantly surprised.

My go-to for whenever my son gets a cold. He absolutely loves the flavor which means I don’t have to fight him to take it. I give it to him 4-6 hours without skipping a dose and he gets better quickly. I don’t believe he has had a cold last longer than 5 days. I love that it doesn’t have all that food coloring and it doesn’t make him act different or make him sleepy in anyway. He loves this medicine and so do I.

This does not help AT ALL. No improvement with cough or any other cold symptoms. We have found that a teaspoon of honey or the Zarbee’s cough meds work better. This went into the trash- pointless purchase.

We love Hylands. When taken the first time symptoms start and taken every 4 hours it works. The best part is you can take with other medications if needed. The times it did not work for our son is when he had something more serious that needed prescribed medication. It is also dye free so perfect for our autistic son that gets wired in red dye. When the symptoms start, I give him this and Benedryl and it works for him. We have tried other meds and other hylands. This one is the only one that works. Remember: fidelity every 4 hours even use a tiny dropper if needed.

Night time medicine is a joke to say the least. It definitely does not help with sleep whatsoever. My kids are as wired as ever. The coughing hasn't changed either.
