This book is beautiful inside and out. If you've ever wondered if asking questions about God and faith and religion and all of the things....and then either felt or were told that your questions were wrong or bad...this book is for you. Erin walks with the reader, sharing her own story and the ways in which she discovered God is big enough for the questions, and that it's okay to evaluate what we believe, leave the toxic and hateful behind, and walk forward into an even stronger faith than before. Definitely check this book out!

Spending 10 years muddling through my faith journey was not what I expected in my 40's, but my experience of God and what I held fast to for years just wasn't adding up. One of the people I have come to trust during this time is Erin Moon. She is a steady, real, hilarious, and understanding leader who has been generous to share her faith journey in podcasts, substacks, emails and socials. And if you have begun to ask questions that aren't "ok" to ask then huddle up - Erin has made a place for us misfits. You've found your people. This book is so good. The feeling I got when reading it was "she gets it - she gets me." In a time that can be lonely, exasperating, infuriating and tender, we need to know there are others who can come alongside us. Erin isn't pushing her agenda or her experience on anyone - instead she graciously invites us to be where we are, no matter where we end up. It's a great read. And she's a great follow. And the cover is fire.

It sounds cliche to say "in today's turbulent times." But, in today's turbulent times, its easy to feel isolated, sad, afraid - especially when grappling with issues of faith. Erin Moon is the perfect friend to join us in our journeys. A friend at our sides to remind us that while it may feel dark and lonely, we are far from alone. Erin's humor and good nature shine through the pages of this book as she takes us on a journey through our faith, making us (and our faith) stronger in the end.

With so many reasons to ask questions when things don’t add up, it’s helpful to have the example of someone who has gone first and can speak from experience to be your guide. Even better, Erin will validate how you’re feeling and how you came to the place of asking questions without telling you where you need to end up, which makes sense considering that type of certainty and one-size-fits-all is one of the very things that she challenges and got her asking questions to begin with.

Erin's kindness and authenticity shine through every word. If you've ever felt isolated by your doubts and questions, this book is here to remind you that you're not alone. I've basically highlighted the whole thing, but what I'm taking with me as I move forward is this: "We joyfully affirm nothing less than this: we are the people who have it out with God"
