The smell of the potatoes themselves is awful, let alone the flavor of sour mush. I hate wasting food but these went straight into the trash. I love the other flavors of Idahoan but this flavor was a huge disappointment.

This variety of dried mashed potatoes with Hidden Valley Seasongin was the first out, and to date is my favorite of the three varietes in quanity of multiple envelopes to service more than one meal - loved it! However, I'm not finding this variety on the store shelves - very disappointed - I did not have much faith in "instant dried potatoes" in a box, I tried them only because the Hidden Valley Ranch was in the mix, so I took the chance and was pleasantly suprised, all the way around - the instant was, and is still very well mixed into boiled water, and then the Hidden Valley flavor made them very good to continue to serve in future. I would like to see the Hidden Valley flavored instant dried potatoes back on the grocery shelves..

Ranch dressing is an everyday sauce in our house, so seeing this on the shelf no Brainer...right? DEAD WRONG! These ranch potatoes smelled and tasted like burnt rubber. I tried and tried to tell myself they were ranch flavored but with every bite all I could taste was flame grilled Goodyear. But hey bright side was the dogs liked them!
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

Was very excited to try this because I love ranch and potatoes. After the first few bites all you taste is the sourness from the ranch. It builds up into a sour potato taste with an aftertaste so bad that I can't shake it off even after drinking a lot. I didn't rate it a 1 because it isn't completely unpalatable. I've had worse that deserve that spot more than this does

We love the dressing and these potatoes are delicious. Add a pat of butter amazing flavor. The down side is there hard to find in grocery stores.

Don't like. Strange taste. I have tried most all your flavors, and looked forward to the Hidden Valley Ranch potatoes, but was greatly disappointed. Very strange taste. Not sure what to do with the 11 other packages.

I have had issues swallowing for the past 4 years, the only item that I was able to take down was instant Idaho potatoes. May it be in the cup or package, they are easy to make and easy for me to swallow. Thank You Idaho potatoes for making this instant packages.
