IGK Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Smoothing Blowout Balm - 5 fl oz - Ulta Beauty

I have wavy-curly hair and when there isn't any humidity, I have to style my hair straight. As the humidity kicks in, I need a product to control the frizz when I don't feel like wearing my hair super curly. This is it!! I am extremely sensitive to fragrance based products, and other ingredients, and I must say, I have no itchy reactions when using this product. (I have tried a lot!) Everyone has different hair textures and styling products that work great for them. I have been fortunate to find this product works with my hair!

I love this stuff! My hair is curly (so frizzy when i dont style it) and even gets frizzy after I blow dry. This completely smoothes it all out, especially near my face and base of my neck that gets really tiny, tight curls very easily.

I bought this as a recommendation from a stylist. I typically blow dry then flat iron my hair. I used to buy products with silicone, but they've all been discontinued. So, tried this. It is heavy, so you just use a little bit. It does blow dry and flat iron smooth, but it doesn't hold. I live in Louisiana, the minute I go outside, my hair swells up.

This is THE product I've been looking for to tame my frizz AND maintain the shape of my natural curls that does not contain dimethicone. That stuff just makes my fine hair look dirty and weighed down. When I first read the description of this product, I thought it was only for straight hair styles. I decided to try it anyway since it was on sale. It is the first of many, many products I've tried that truly fights frizz for 3 days. Maybe it fights frizz longer, but I have to wash my hair every 3 days. Give it a shot! You can always return it if you dont like it.

Even when I tried to use a tiny amount of product it made my hair heavy, greasy and unmanageable. Maybe it's for a different hair type, but it's garbage for me.

Very pleased with this product in combo with IGK smoothing spray in this collection. I have curly hair and when using other heat styling products, my blowouts would be frizzy and curl as soon as I left the house (NYC.) Highly recommend.

This is my holy grail hair product, please never discontinue it! I have thick, coarse Korean hair and this is the only product I've used that has successfully smoothed my hair and kept it that way. I frequently heat style and my hair is soft and protected after using this.

Some backstory - my hair can be extremely protein sensitive. I had just gone through a roller coaster after a protein-heavy shampoo overloaded my hair, and it took over a month of remedies to balance back out. Until my hair normalized, it was very brittle and broke off constantly, but with my stylist's help we got it under control and finally clarified the problem. She told me my hair needs some protein, but I'll have to be very caredul which products I use going forward. My 45-year-old hair is heavily foil-highlighted, on the thin side, and my ends tend to get dry while my roots can get oily a day or two after washing. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. I was traveling and forgot the smoothing cream/heat protector I normally use, so I stopped at Ulta to get something to get me through the week. Ulta doesn't carry the brand I was using, so I quickly grabbed this balm because the description sounded close to what I was using. I was in a mad hurry and I didn't check the ingredients (glad for that though, I never would've purchased it if i had!). Got it back to the hotel, read the ingredients, and almost immediately returned it because of all the additional proteins it contained alongside the Spirulina…I was sure it would be protein-overload again. Luckily, I was exhausted so I said heck with it and gave it a try. I was FLOORED. My hair was shiny, manageable, didnt break off when I flat ironed it, and I had no breakage from it being in a bun the entire next day. When it was time to wash, it didn't leave a ton of buildup behind and after several uses my hair still hasn't gotten overloaded with another protein nightmare. I dont know how or why this stuff works so amazingly for my hair, but it does, and I am so happy I gave it a chance! My only caution is, if your hair is thin or fine, use a very minimal amount of this product. It is easy to use too much and then it tends to weigh down the hair/make it greasy a bit quicker. As long as I don't use too much, I get beautiful results every time! Will definitely repurchase!

I love this entire line—smells a little odd at first but makes my hair so smooth. I don’t even use hair spray.

I wanted go purchase the spray version of this at the store because i used it and quite liked it. Unfortunately, it was totally sold out and there was one left of the balm. I said "why not? Its pretty much the same" NOOOO it was not the same! It's even BETTER!!! I have long, thick, frizzy, and wavy hair. No product has worked better than this balm to tame it. I apply my usual leave-ins, then go in with the balm in sections. (4 sections, pea sized amount for section for all my hair) I use the Revlon round brush. They work beautifully together. I feel like the heat from the round brush really activates the product nicely. Forreal keratin in a bottle omg. NEVER GET RID OF THIS IGK PLSSSSSS

I have long, shiny, and healthy hair. I used this product and it made my hair feel dry and took away the shine. Tried 3 times before giving to a friend who also reported the same outcome. Sad, it was an expensive product.

It wasn’t heavy. It didn’t weigh my hair down. I used it with other IGK Products and loved it!

It absolutely smoothed my hair without leaving it feeling oily or heavy. Can use it for air drying, too!

It added shine and smoothness to every strand. I have some gray, wiry hair and your product tames them right down!

I was excited to try this blowout cream but it left my hair feeling heavy and flat. There was no noticeable shine and smoothness. The fragrance was nice but I would not recommend .

This is nothing like the good behavior spray. It is thick, almost greasy and made my hair feel very dry.
