My 5 year old recieved this as a Christmas gift and it keeps him entertained for a while. A few times he has got the chest part where it ejects the disks stuck and it makes a loud obnoxious sound however it’s an easy fix. Also easy avoidable just have to teach little ones how to work it properly! Fun huge toy lol

My son was dying to get this after seeing it in store. It was his one gift for his birthday. He plays with it but doesn’t love it. Thankfully I got it on sale, otherwise it’s not worth the hundred dollars. If you forget to shut off, it makes this weird Darth Vader breathing sound and the eyes light up. Sure to give toddlers nightmares if you happen to leave it on at bedtime.
Super cool toy!

The toy is great, however I was able to find the exact same toy at another store for literally half the price. I wound up returning the one I bought from Target and purchasing the one from the other store.
Good for a little Star Wars fan

We got this toy for our four-year old who is now into Star Wars, and he really likes it. He was so excited to open it on Christmas morning. He likes that it’s life-size and has a lightsaber and a storm trooper. The attached storm trooper is heavy; it’s not thin plastic as I thought it would be. The only thing I dislike about it is the green chips that shoot out get stuck and don’t work as well as they should. I don’t know how long it will keep his interest because there isn’t a lot of variety in what it can do, but for now he likes it.
Simple but well executed toy

We gave this to our 7 year old son for his birthday. He wanted it more than anything else. It did not disappoint! This bot is SUPER cool! I was worried he’d get bored with it because it doesn’t do a lot, but the things it does are well done and very entertaining. His twin brother got the R2D2 bot and they love having disc battles. He was impressed with the fact that when the light saber is deployed and you move Vader’s torso around, it makes light saber sounds. We are all very entertained by the disc launcher and the eerie sound it makes when it’s about to launch. He is so happy with it. Great buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such an awesome toy. Darth Vader is very big and so sturdy. The lights and sounds he makes are true to the character. My child loves his lightsaber and also thinks its fun to have Vader be like a guard to his bedroom. This toy is made to last and be durable.
Do not buy!!! There is no way to return with the box open.

Do not buy this toy. By buying this Robot, you are throwing money in the trash! They do not accept refunds back. I bought this robot for cash on July 30th, 2024. On August 4, 2024, Target Forest Hills refused to take it back because the box was opened and the item is collectible and non-refundable. This Robot does not walk or speak. He, standing still, throws tokens and a small red ball. I was not satisfied with the product, I wanted to return it. The cashier and a supervisor named Faye flatly refused to refund money for an item purchased 4 days earlier. When I bought this toy, the Target Seller gave a 60-day return guarantee. After 4 days, Target refused to refund my $163.30, for expensive garbage., called a robot. Do not buy! Sorry for my English. I use an online translator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kid is a fan of Star wars and she was very excited to see her favorite toy. She enjoys the sounds it makes and evil laughs every time. OfShe loved all mechanical things it did like throwing a ball from left hand, laser beam on the other with sound effects and light that comes through it and her personal favorite throwing disks through his heart. She loves to collect the discs after standing infront of it taking the hit and places it the back for another round. At night time after all the lights are out, she particularly enjoys the lights in bot bots eye and chuckles. She simply loved it all. The whole bot is very sturdy and of great quality considering how much she bumps it and not feels down. It still works great. The only bad it about it when it falls on the face, disk throwing feature was stuck and I had to try few things to get it working and no harm done and works well. Highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Potential to be the toy of the season. With the secret compartments, sound effects, blinking lights, shooting disks, the Darth Vader bot has many features that encourages imaginative play. Not only did my 7 and 9 year old enjoy the large scale Darth Vader robot, the bot itself has several layers which can be used to play smaller figurines in. And the wow factor when the kids opened the box makes this a great gift to impress. A plus that this was Darth Vader for the Star War fans, however the large bot appeals to any robot lovers.
Big fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a huge toy! We expected it to have more of a "playset" aspect, but instead it's packed full of action features. The light-up lightsaber blade shoots out at the push of a button, accompanied by authentic sounds. The ball and disc launchers are powerful and a ton of fun. The left hand's fingers even extend automatically to clear the way for the ball to fire. The illuminated eyes look fearsome! The included Stormtrooper figure "key" is nice and weighty, and the whole bot stands as sturdy as can be. This product was provided for the purpose of this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quite possibly the coolest toy I’ve ever seen. We are a huge Star Wars family so this one was exciting for us! Darth Vader is HUGE, my 4 year old niece was just a tiny bit taller than this toy! My kids especially loved the disc launcher, and the lightsaber! They kept shooting discs at each other. I loved the different sounds and that the lightsaber actually lit up! So cool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has been obsessed with Darth Vader for almost a year know, so he was VERY excited to get this robot! I was worried that his size would make him difficult for my son to play with him but he is easily able to move and manipulate him. He’s arms and waist move to allow him to play with him easily. He loves all of the features, especially pressing the button to make the lightsaber shoot out and light up. He also enjoys twisting the storm trooper on his shoulder to make Darth Vader’s chest open and shoot the little discs. My only complaint would be that it is sometimes difficult for him to get the discs to load properly and they jam resulting in a terrible noise, but it is easily fixed. I also love that there are two volume levels so that it doesn’t have to be so loud. He has only had him for a few weeks, but has already spent many hours playing with him! All in all a great toy for any Star Wars fan!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this box arrived, all three of my kids were in awe! I have an 8 year old boy, a 6 year old boy, and a 3 year old daughter. They had so much fun figuring out the launching discs, the ball shooter and the light up light saber. The metal storm trooper was also very impressive. My son’s friend came over and asked his mom if he could put it on his birthday list!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were shocked when this toy arrived and saw how big Darth Vader was! It is such a cool toy and my son loved that it was so big, the buttons and the lights and sounds it makes! The little action figure is neat too. The toy is big but seems to be durable. My son played with it for a long time. I would highly recommend this toy!

A Great Toy - 9 months ago

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Imaginext Star Wars Darth Vader toy has become my son’s number 1 toy. The lights, sounds, and Stormtrooper (who he has named Gary) have become constants with him as he plays around the house. At age 3 he is the bottom of the age range for the toy but it has proven to be a very tough and durable toy. At first it’s lights and sounds did scare him a bit, but the lights also fascinated him and he learned quickly how to load the discs and ball in it so he could use all its functions. The movement and lights make it the best toy for any child 3 and older, although I understand the Stormtrooper is made of metal and therefore if it is thrown or dropped it is heavy and can hurt. If you have a child who likes to throw things, putting the Stormtrooper away is a good idea. Other than that the Dark Vader toy is incredible for any child and has our highest recommendation. The detail to it is incredible.
A whole new Darth Vader!

This Darth Vader toy is such an exciting and engaging toy across age groups; I even caught my husband getting in on the fun. The lights and sounds bring the toy to an imaginative experience that is captivating and exciting. The ball cannon and disk ejector allow for creativity and hours of endless fun!
