Never Works Right
1 out of 5 stars
Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

I wanted to love this thing so bad, but it just doesn't deliver. 9 times out of 10 the valve on the top doesn't seal and its a fight to get it to pop up - in the meantime food usually burns because all of the moisture (like up to 3-4 cups of liquid) has evaporated because it didn't seal. And then once we do get it to seal, the timer for the food doesn't start it just says "on". This thing is disasterous - hard pass.
Heavy and too big

I like everything with the Rio Instant Pot except the depth. I would have liked it better if it was deeper.

I couldn't tell if it's functional or not. Very poor packaging, apparently poor handling in shipping, but I blame Target for not packing the products in this category in a regular box and saying it's fragile. Target has unfortunately lost the distinction of giving good customer service. That's why I give it one star and the product is being returned.

Not worth it, it took almost an hour to preheat. I read other reviews that said the same thing.

I was drawn to this model pressure cooker because of the wide width which would be great for larger pieces of meat. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this model as it has difficulty reaching and maintaining pressure. In addition, the pot insert bows in the middle so any oil put in to brown/sear items pools at the edges. I really like the concept of a wider pressure cooker but cannot recommend this model.
Must buy!

I love the oval shape. I've only used once so far but did use the saute function, which, in previous pots, burend and did not let you pressure cook. So faar so good.

I love this Instant Pot. I've had many and usually have 2 at a time but recently both of mind died. I liked the look and size of this model and have used it many times already. It works well and I use it regularly. It isnt as deep as other models but its wider. It does the job and does it well.

This was a huge disappointment. First problem was I noticed the chipped paint where the lid hits the screw on top (horrible design) not sure if it came like that, or if I accidentally did it. Either way, it should not be. Then, I found myself staring at the device for 5 minutes wondering how to start it. Some genius thought it was a good idea to have the start button color to be a very dark green that blends into the rest of device. I couldn't see it in a dark kitchen. I thought I was going nuts! The moisture drip collector NEVER worked, not even once, not even a little. The lid got water EVERYWHERE after each time I had to open the lid. Another concern is they are not washing these beforehand. Instructions sat to wash before use and I did. But after a 3rd wash, I dried it and was getting heavy metals!!! I'm ingesting that!! I got this in hopes of not having to worry about leaching and yet, this thing isn't even fully clean of metals! There is a add on sticker in French. Look at how "professional" those lines are in the pic. It's laughable! I can't believe they want $130 for this. No glass lid, and the device never fully turns off. Instead it has a standby mode but device still says "off". If you want it completely off, you have to actually unplug it. This thing is an abomination to the market. Completely unacceptable.
Cheaply made

Fnz - 11 months ago, Verified purchaser
I used to have the original Instant Pot and this one just does not compare. It’s cheaply made and does not seal most of the time, so the steam leaks out the sides and it never builds to a pressure and the food burns. Don’t waste your money.
No replacement sealing rings on market

Unhappy - 1 year ago
I want to love this pot, and it does everything it says it does, but they don’t sell replacement sealing rings for it. With any pressure cooker, the sealing ring should be replaced every 12 to 18 months. If they don’t sell replacement rings for this product, it will be obsolete in less than two years.

Got it was excited to use it got all of my meat in the pot after washing up for use as I planned to have a roast. The sauté wouldn’t work so I sautéd everything on the stove as I have read reviews their pots were not working on the function. Moved the roast and vegetables into the pot to pressure cook and it wouldn’t start what I thought was going to be a hour until supper turned into 5 hours as I had to move it to the oven.

Love the width of this InstantPot! It is just perfect for all my stews, feeding my family of 5 and more. I love that the depth is not too deep. It cooks evenly, and love all the features. This is an upgrade to my old instant pot. It's worth purchasing!
