I bought this product last season for my children to give for Christmas. Today I opened it to set it up for the heat wave and it had multiple holes. The company refused to help because it was over 180 days.

Love the pool, although still in delivery box. But this is my 5th Intex pool, so I know I’ll like. But no pool cover, no ladder received as listed on advertisement.

This pool made our summer! Perfect for us to get in with our 2 4-year-olds. Still plenty of room to move around and have some floats on it with all 4 of us in there. It held up extremely well all summer including through a storm with 80MPH winds that threw a crumpled canopy in it. When it’s really hot/humid you do have to top it off about once per week. You will also notice some sweating on the outside of the pool anytime the water temp is lower than the air temp. These are not pinhole leaks! We did upgrade the filtration system as the one that comes with it wasn’t very powerful. We did have to battle algae quite a bit so staying on top of chemicals and cleaning is a must. Overall, this is perfect for something more than a kiddie pool but less than a full-size pool. Highly recommend!

We brought in a couple yards of stone dust to help level the yard where the pool was going. it wasn't perfect but enough for the pool to fill with no issues. we had water trucked in since we're on a well and it filled up nicely. pump is okay very small and seems flimsy but doing its job so far. hopefully this pool will last our family the summer.

There is nothing easy about this pool. Very difficult to set up, and if you don’t have a perfectly level lawn you are out of luck. Would not recommend.

The pool has been great so far.
The vinyl is strong and sturdy.
The tarp that it comes with is very thin. I purchased a tarp for about 20 bucks and laid both down.
I read so many reviews on the pump that it comes with not being up to par. I wish they did as I had to purchase a 2500gph and the adapters to make pump fit the pool.
The pool cover seems okay,I've used it once and it did its job.
Over all I'm very happy with the pool.its the accessories that aren't great.

your floor MUST BE PERFECTLY leveled

DM305 - 5 years ago
Got this pool and within 15 minutes was pumping water into it. After filling it up for about 4 hours is was clear that this pool will not work for my backyard. The grass floor has about 1.5 inches of inclination and the walls of the pool would not "raise" properly because all the water was grouping in one sections of the pool.

My mom purchased a smaller version when we visited a few years ago so when I saw this one on sale at the start of summer I didn’t hesitate. It comes with easy to assemble ladder, filter and cover.
Setup was easy, we followed instructions to get smoothest bottom ( no wrinkles). We placed over a mulch circle in our stone path landscaping. We placed corrugate down, then a tarp, then the pool.
It took us 3 days to fill , we did not run the water overnight. Progress shots below.

The very first thing to note is 2 things. First, the pool is great. You can't go wrong here. Second, keep in mind, it's not just the pool you'll need. The this version of the pool comes with a pump, necessary hoses, and 2 filters. Intex sells additional filters as singles or in a pack of 6. The filters you need are: Intex 29000E/59900E.
We bought the 12 foot version in May of 2016. It's worked great so far. It took about an hour to setup. I used a tarp underneath which Intex does not recommend, but we did it anyway to protect the bottom. It took about 3-4 hours to fill up the pool. This one comes with the pump and filter setup which is a must to keep the water clean. We also bought some basic pool chemicals, and both available covers by Intex. The cover we use the most is the solar cover. Where we live its around 90-100 degrees F daily. You should also have a strainer for this pool to get the leaves and larger organic matter out of the pool. The included pump/filter setup is really just the get the stuff the strainer can't get.
As far as having flat ground, Intex makes a big deal about having this pool level. See the picture of our setup. It's basically like a big bag, so think of what happens when you fill a bag with water on an uneven surface. It's going to roll to one side a bit. In my case the ground is about 4 inches lower on one side than the other. The pool still works fine in my opinion, just the water is not as deep as it could be, but I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. The 2 year old can touch the bottom with ease yet the pool is still deep enough to for my 4 year old to swim laps and for my 6.5 foot frame to swim under water.
I've never maintained my own pool before so I got some water test strips, PH booster, and Chorine Sanitizer. I have to put about 1/3 cup chlorine in per week. Go easy on the PH booster because using that will increase the Total Alkalinity, I recommend the Clorox pool products. Intex recommends you change the filter every 2 weeks. The first time I changed the filter at two weeks I saw surprised at how much gunk was in it. It seems like you could clean it yourself to extend the life of the filter but will try that next time. For a season Intex sells a six pack of filters so I bought that as well. For the cost the pump is clearly cheap, but seems to be well made considering the limit budget for materials. The pump on the 12 foot pool will filter 500 gallons per hour so you should plan to leave it on for at least 3 hours on most days. Also bought Intex's foot bath to wash the feet before getting in the pool (shown in picture). That helps to keep the junk out.

Awesome pool for the price..we had one of a similar size that lasted over 6 years..I think this is a great deal for the price..And this one comes with extras our other one did not come with..like the tarp for underneath the pool and a cover for the pool..The cover does a great job of keeping the pool free of debris. Overall this is a great pool for the price.
