Intex Above Ground Steel Frame Swimming Pool Ladder for 42-In. Wall Height Pools

The people who gave this 42” pool ladder positive reviews were all paid in part of a promotion, so keep that in mind because if they actually gave an honest review it wouldn’t be 5 stars what so ever. I purchased this ladder for my 10 x 40” above ground round pool about a month ago. It is terrible! It is so cheaply made. Not sturdy at all. It’s actually dangerous. The hardware it came with barely ever stays in place so after a few times of kids stepping on it the bolts come loose or fall out, so constantly needing to put them back in. The whole thing is too lightweight & flimsy to the point I’ve had 4 kids ages 6-13 almost get hurt because the ladder has no weight to it and falls back as they are climbing in and out the pool. There is nothing to anchor the ladder safely to the pool or the ground. Even as an adult who weights 115lbs the ladder moves all over & wants to tip. Now when the kids get in or out the pool someone has to be there holding the ladder steady so it doesn’t lift up or fall. It was a waste of money for sure and a big safety concern. I would NOT recommend this ladder at all.

This was a perfect opportunity to test one out and just in time for pool season to open back up. Intex is a great brand of pool equipment and supplies and this ladder shows it. It was easy to assemble. You really don’t need instructions at all. It was very simple. The assembly can be done by one person, but it was easier to do with someone else holding the bars and you assemble the ladder. I am honestly very impressed with how sturdy this ladder is. It is lightweight and easy to move around, but as soon as you apply weight to the ladder it becomes very sturdy and secure feeling. I will be using this new ladder for my above ground pool this year. Great quality.

I was looking for an inexpensive ladder for my sons new pool so his kids and wife could get in and out easily and not pay over $100. This ladder does what he needed it to do.

Be cautious. My ladder came with the notches for the long pole in the wrong position, making the foot on the ladder face a different direction than is should. Also, the notches were not deep enough to put parts on so we could not use the ladder. Trying to get a replacement but no one is available at this time.

I was excited to get a ladder for the pool so my kids could get in and out of the pool easily. The ladder is good a bit high. I gave a 3 because the plastic bottom pieces are kindof rough and will easily rip an intex easy up/metal frame pool liner. I had to wrap a yoga mat around it. Also it was missing a safety bar. Yicks

This is a quite functional ladder for our pool. I had expected it to be a bit sturdier perhaps, but it is easier to move to and from the pool than I had anticipated. I would suggest that an adult or older teen hold onto the ladder to steady it for younger children--or for use by the elderly. However, this may just be my overly cautious nature!

This ladder is study. Very easy to build. My kids love how easy it is to get in and out of the pool.
