IRIS USA Open Dog Crate Pet Playpen

This cage is huge I got it for my bunny in medium he loves it we love it’s open top it’s like a big play pen for him. I was not missing pins like I seen some say they were inside a slim box that looks like it’s just there to secure the cage for shipping it is quite possible they were overlooked. So easy to snap together also. Very convenient. I would not get for a large dog I don’t think though.

I ordered this pet pen because I desperately needed something for my puppy to keep her safe while I’m busy doing things at home. I loved how it looked online. Spacious and modern & loved that it was metal bars and not plastic. BUT, once it arrived, the package was damaged. Once I opened it, I noticed all the hardware to put it together was missing. And the floor tray was cracked in a corner. I was so upset because I needed to use this ASAP! The plastic tray is very flimsy as well. Expected a lot more for the price!

I like the open top for easy access into the pen. It had plenty of room for the dog to move around and play. The material is very easy to clean. It is a lot heavier than I thought.

Just the right size - can just reach in and get the dog - this would be good for a small very young litter also.The dogs love these crates. They weigh 13.2 lb not the 23 lb noted and inside measurement is a few inches smaller but it is roomy. Even the younger dogs want to get into the crates. Much better using this crate than the covered ones for sure

The flooring also helps a lot in case your pet is prone to accidents. The pet pen is nice and will look great in any room of your home. It is a great quality and should last for a long while.

We previously had an ugly black wire kennel that he grew to hate. The openness and durability of this kennel is much less intimidating for him and the stylish look fits in with out decor. The previous kennel was an eye sore that caused our joy anxiety and now he willingly goes in and lays down on his bed. So happy we found this kennel so I don’t have to chase him around the house every time I need to kennel him.

Its open on the top which is great for interaction with your pet tou can pet them easily or give a snack or toy. Theres a sliding door for easy access for your pet. The door slides so easy with no effort really. This pen was so easy to put together also the pegs click into place so easy. I was amazed how easy it was to put together and how well it works. Its very nice addtion to any home and my pet loves it she started using it right away and dragged her toys in.

I had got this for my dog, however for some reason one of my cats has taken up residence in it at times. This was fairly simple to put together. I also like the fact that the door is easy to open and close and latches easy. Very happy with this and would recommend to my animal lover friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this cage who is very easy to set up and it does not have a top on it so it makes getting in-and-out of it much easier than if you had a climbing through a Side door. It is extremely Roomy and gives the cats and dogs a lot of space depending on who is in it it is great for traveling and will be a staple in my house hold from now on my pets absolutely love it. It is also pretty and blends right in so it's not some big bulky ugly cage I love it.

I have looked for quite a while for something that blends with with our decor, that is also able to keep our dog contained and safe when needed. The wire is white, and looks clean and modern. The wood look floor and topper are easily cleaned and a snap to put together. The lock is not flippable by noses, which is a HUGE plus in our home. Finally an option for pet owners who want their pets contained, but do not wish to have to hide a big ugly crate! Well done!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The IRIS Medium Wire Open Pet Pen is a wonderful fenced in area to keep your animals safe while allowing them room to play. The pros are the pen is a sturdy and durable product with wire/metal walls, heavy duty plastic bottom, and wood accents. The pet pen is easy to assemble and very spacious when complete. The plastic base allows for easy clean up. A unique feature of this pen is the door/gate slides open to allow for easy access instead of just swinging open and closed. I have not found/seen any cons with this product.

This pen has been so helpful and makes it easy to see him as well as restrict him to one area. I love that it is open so he doesn't feel caged in and it allows him to see us freely. Right now we are leaving the door open for him to get comfortable, but we have noticed he loves laying on the tray when it is hot outside. Assembly was really easy, a lot easier than other pens we've had in the past. The lock is adult and kid friendly which is amazing and helpful. The height, size and spacing of the bars are perfect for small to medium size animals.

I would reccommend the IRIS open pet pet to all pet owners.. It gives your pet the peace of mind to play and run without other dogs bothering them.This pet pen is easy to assemble and clean. Perfect size, weighing about 30lbs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box the pen is very easy to put together in just minutes. It has little bolts that keep the sides together. They lock in place tightly and keep the cage very sturdy in the plastic brown base. Once the bolts are in you can remove the wire cage from the plastic base and it can be folded flat. What’s nice is that you could just take the metal cage without the base floor outside to make a little penned in area if you wanted your dog to spend a short amount of time with you outside. Also, if you need to clean the base, you don’t have to crawl in there yourself; you simply lift off the wire part and set it aside. The cage is sturdy, spacious and easy to put together. My complaint is that they call it a wood look in their description. The wire is white and the base is just a plastic beige color. The only thing that is wood looking is on the top and the bottom of the wire cage. The slats look like a light wood if you look closely. It is not a very prominent feature of the cage so it’s a little misleading, in my opinion. I would’ve preferred darker colors personally so it didn’t stand out so much and didn’t show dirt or spills as easily as it does. Otherwise, I’m pleased with the ease of use, sturdy build and ease of putting together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I'd like to compare this to the crate I usually keep my dog in when I'm gone. It is more sleek and I would very much rather keep this in my kitchen than the bulky typical dog crate. I think design-wise, it blends in more as well. I also like that the door slides open as opposed to opening like a regular door. I don't have to worry about the door slamming and hitting the wall or anything. And also my dog can walk in and out without the door shutting on itself. It was very simple to install and required no additional tools. It took me two minutes from start to finish. I like that it comes with an extra 'clip' just in case one breaks. The material is okay. I think that the 'wood' doesn't really feel like wood. I suppose this could be so that it's more durable or less likely to be bitten up by the dog. There is enough room for my dog to lie down comfortably. I was slightly concerned when it said it was okay for medium-sized dogs, as it wasn't very tall. My dog is under 40 pounds (pictured), and when sitting straight up, his head is over the top. He could easily climb out. If your dog isn't a jumper and is content with sitting still, then this would be an okay option for you. However, my dog is a jumper so this would have to be used with someone supervising - as opposed to leaving the room or house expecting him to still be there when I come back. If there was a way to include an extra panel like the bottom one and snap it onto the top, I think that would be a great solution to this issue. Overall, I think it is a great product but not definitely not for every dog. If it weren't for the open top I would feel more comfortable using it.

Makes life easier when I’m not home and don’t want them roaming freely. Easy to clean bottom. Just lift up and rinse out. Super happy with product!

The size is perfect for him and he seems to love it with a soft bed in the bottom. He hadn’t escaped yet which is a big deal for him. I love the look of this crate. It doesn’t look “out of place” in my home. It looks more like a piece of furniture rather than a dog crate. Love how clean & neat it looks. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.
