Q: Why does this say solar generator? It's a battery that you can charge with a separate solar accessory. Everywhere else online calls it a power station.

like it or not, the term "solar generator" has become a term that refers to a battery bank like this that could be charged with a panel. it's common, and rarely actually come with a panel. either way, for the size, i couldn't believe it was actually 99Wh. i have a LiFe battery i was gonna use, and for comparison that thing is 15Wh. that was for a power wheels and this thing is about similar in size. not as packable as the small ones, my smaller one is 33Wh. my only issue is no dedicated solar input. i would've really liked a separate xt60 solar input so i could keep the 3 usb outs, but shouldn't impact my use much. for me this is planned for starlink mini, besides general off grid device charging. but the usb c are PD at full 100W, so the starlink will work just fine with it. and if you compare Wh, the price is actually pretty good compared to other name brands. this one has limited connectivity, no lights, solar input, thinks like that. but for just capacity, if usb a/c is enough, it's a pretty good deal.

I bought this so I can charge my electronics while camping thinking it would charge from solar energy but you have to actually plug it into a wall outlet to charge it. if you want solar power you have to buy the solar panel separately. Which costs another $100. However it is a very good and sturdy portable charger and it holds a charge for a long time

I purchased this item for my emergency kit since I wanted a way to keep my phone and laptop charged in the aftermath of a major distaster with disruption to electic supply. In the item description, it states "With iPad-sized panels and a power station that fits your backpack, you'll have infinite power for all your outdoor adventures." This, plus the thing being called a "solar generator" led me to beleive that I was buying a product that included solar charging capability. Well, I opened the suspiciously small box today and nope! It's just a battery pack. Solar panels are apprarently sold seperately and there is no way to charge from anything but USB/wall power with the in-box item. I'm glad I didn't wait until I actually needed this to open it up! I own plenty of USB phone batteries that I can charge from the wall already, and only bought this because it was SOLAR and I wanted a way to recharge my phone off-grid. Very misleading, and I am extremely disappointed in my purchase.

This solar generator provides perfect USB charging. There are 2 USB C ports and 1 USB-A port. The screen shows you how much power is remaining. With a full charge you can easily charge a laptop + cell phone/tablet, etc. This device is very well made. Jackery's design and quality help it standout as the best in class. This weighs only 2 pounds despite all of its battery power. The solar panels allow the device to charge if you are away from your standard power source.

Me and my family love to enjoy the outdoors. We also like to keep in contact with friends and work through cell phones and laptop computures. A friend suggested that I look into the Jackery Solar Generator. I made the purchase and would definitely recommend this product. The solar generator was ready to use right out of the box. As advertised, it was light weight, fits in the palm of my hand. It is perfect for charging laptops, cell phones, fitness tracker (watch) and earbuds. Overall I love this product and would recommend it!
