We can say it was not designed to hold a classic bento box. We would suggest trying to fit the Bento Box you are considering at your local store. Love Jansport products, they always hold up well. The style is very minimalist, which my daughter loves. Has a small pocket in the front for little things like a tiny wallet or small snack. The interior is one single bag with no divider. I wish it had a mesh pocket or something to help separating since it's hard to fit everything and keep it organized, but that's the only negative.

Great little lunch bag, holds a good amount of stuff. I like that it’s a bit on the more rigid side compared to others, without being too stiff. I don’t like the handle though, it would have been so much better if they put actual backpack straps on.
