Thought this would match the lip stain. It does not. But, it is a great quality pencil. Doesn’t dry. Hope it sharpens well.

The lip glides on smoothly without tugging the lips, which I really appreciate. The formula is creamy, making it easy to apply with precision.

I LOVE this color and was so excited to try. Unfortunately, my first attempt to line my lips, the tip completely broke off. I have not tried to use a pencil yet but was very disappointed that happened.

It dries my lips. And the quantity is so little!

First off the packaging is stunning and the nude shade are always in style. I love how silky this went on it was so easy to apply. It wore for a decent amount of time with eating and drinking and talking. The shade is fabulous was a perfect nude for my lips. While lining the lips there is no tugging on the skin so it’s not easy to apply. As a makeup artist lips are a big part of the makeup I hunt for. The pigment in this liner is so good that you don’t have to draw over lines. I will admit that I go back and forth on using a lip liner. I always love the results when I take the time to use one however I dont always allow time for it. I do know for a fact I will be making time to use the Jason Wu Shade Royal lip liner. It is a beautiful creamy formula that glides on the lips effortlessly. I tested this lip liner out a few different ways and was happy with each version. The first way I used it was to line my lips before I put on the Jason Wu Matte Cream I was also sent. That gave me a lip combo that lasted all night. The second way I used it was to line my lips before I put on the Jason Wu Lip oil that I was sent. It gave my lips a defined look all night that had a beautiful pink shade to them. The third way I used it was as an all over color. It doesn't take much to get it all over with how creamy it is. Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lip product that lasts. This is glides onto my lips seamlessly without tugging on to my skin, and going into the creases of my lips. It’s very pigmented and long lasting. This is great to wear by itself, with a gloss, or a lipstick. However, the color isn’t the perfect shade for me. I have the lip liner in the shade royal. It’s to light and makes me looked washed out. This shade is better for a lighter skin tone. Besides the color not being a great match for me this is a great lip liner. I was really loving the Jason Wu Beauty Stay In Line - Royal for a couple of reasons. First off, the formula is beautiful. It glides on so smoothly that I didn’t have to worry about any tugging on my lips. It contains Vitamin-E and Jojoba Oil. You can actually feel how smooth the ingredients are in this product. This product also dries down to a matte finish which I love because it also stays put without feathering or rubbing around everywhere on my lips and face. If you love a creamy liner that doesn’t tug or pull, you love the Jason Wu Beauty Stay in Line. If you are about my skin tone or darker, you may want a tad darker, as the liner was just a little lighter than I usually go for. If you like a nude lip though, Royal is a great color. The color itself is like a nude-pink with hint of color. The color matched perfectly with Adored Royal in the matte lip cream. This color is nicely pigmented, and feel soft on the lips. It’s very comparable to the Lancôme lipliner, but at a much better price point. I really liked the color, the pigment, the wear, and the consistency of this lip liner and would definitely recommend it! I paired this with the Honey Fluff Lip Cream that was sent and they complimented each other very well. If you saw my Honey Fluff Lip Cream review photo, i lined my lips there with this. This is a fairly neutral shade that is very versatile that can be paired with different lip shades or gloss. Creamy and feathery, glides easily. Might bleed a little if lips are not prepped properly or it seems easy to overline if not careful. I’m not typically a lip liner gal and this feels too creamy for my personal preference for a lip liner. It has the perfect neutral tone to accentuate a Nude lip. It is very soft and glides on smoothly. You can also use it by itself and fill the entire lip for a nice Nude tone. It stays on very well as a lip color and lip liner! You can also do a nice ombré lip with it! There are so many different ways to use this! Absolutely love this product, especially the color! It is such a perfect Nude you can definitely play and explore with! I 100% recommend this Lip liner for that aspect! The only downside is that it is not Retractable or self sharpening.
