Q: is this louder than the clip 4 speaker?
A: Thanks for your inquiry. Our JBL Clip 4 is slightly louder than our JBL Go 4, with an audio output power of 5W compared to the Go 4's 4.2W.

Q: Can I use this speaker to answer a phone call on my cell while it's connected? Thanks.

As there is also no built-in microphone, phone calls and calling the voice assistant must be made directly on the smartphone.
