Q: are the speakers or the ear covers the same size as the JBL 150? I asked because I own a set of 150s and the ear things are kind of small

submitted by DrumrBoi - 2 years ago
  • A: Our JBL Tune 660 has similar dimensions with the JBL Tune 510BT. We recommend the JBL Live 660NC as these headphones has wider earcups and a deeper Ear cup depth(2.1cm) than the Tune 660NC(1.7cm)

Excellent sound, full grave. Comparing with JBL 500BT, the older one seems a bit more open/natural sound.

I've been using these headphones for around three months and I must say, the sound quality is truly impressive. The sweat resistance feature, a common feature in many JBL products, adds to the overall appeal. The headphones' ambient sound, design, and materials used are all top-notch. I'd like to share a little anecdote - I used these headphones during a flight and they created a serene atmosphere, allowing me to enjoy various genres of music in complete relaxation.

I bought this few weeks ago and I'm happy. Good sound (as you expect from JBL) for very good price. Noise cancelling works well. Maybe this is not top model but doing the job.

Unless you have a small ear, do NOT buy these head phones. You will be in pain within minutes. I recommend an oval shape if you are purchasing an over the ear headphone.
1 reply from Customer Support team - 9 months ago
Thank you for your feedback. We understand that the fit of our JBL Tune 660NC didn't meet your expectations. This unit is an on-ear headphones that are designed to sit lightly on top of your ears rather than around or over them. If it's tight, you may adjust the headband of the headphones or you might want to check our over-ear models which fully enclose your ears with padded cups.

I brought them 2 week ago, works fine but noise canceling not work properly and the bass is OK not good. There is some volume difference between two sides like lift is a bit low than right.
1 reply from Customer Support team - 11 months ago
Thank you for your feedback. We're here to help with your JBL Tune 660NC. If you're experiencing an imbalanced volume and issue with the bass, it might be due to the balance control, EQ settings, or source devices. Try checking the balance control on your source device by going to the "Accessibility" settings as well as the balance control on your music player app commonly found in the playback or EQ settings. Make sure that the left/right balance control is set to default (centered). Lastly, try to connect the headphones to a different device (phone/tablet/music player). If the issue remains, please contact our customer support.

Better than expected noise cancelling

5 out of 5 stars
Yggiz - 1 year ago

These deserve 5 stars. The sound is great and most noise cancelling are less than expected. JBL Tune 660NC does the job very well. I wear them while baking to listen to podcasts and not to disturb whatever my husband may be watching. I can barely hear the mixer so I don’t miss a word of the podcast. Love this product. One issue, although not JBL’s issue, is that I’m very petite so they tend to slip down sometimes. I wish I could tighten them a bit more. I’m not an average or even small size, these would be perfect in that category. I’m just unusually petite. Thank you JBL, in spite of this personal issue they fit better than any others I have tried.

After approximately 1 month the left ear lost ANC and then makes a lot of crackling repeatedly. I'm debating if I should exchange for a new pair or just return and avoid JBL from now on.
1 reply from JBL Support team - 1 year ago
We appreciate your feedback. We're here to help. To enable the ANC on our JBL Tune 660NC, press the ANC button once which can be found on the headphone between the light indicator and aux cable input. To isolate the repeatedly crackling sound, you may try to check the equalizer settings on your source device for you to adjust the quality of the sound. You may try to use or connect your JBL Tune 660NC to other devices if the issue persists. You can also reset by pressing and holding the "Volume +" and "Volume -" for more than 5 seconds. If the issue persists, please contact customer support at (877) 871-6755 / Mon - Fri: 9:00 am - 11:00 pm (ET) Sat-Sun: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (ET).

For small people

Bought the headphones thinking they are over the ears. I was wrong. They are very small. I have a round head and these headphones dont fit right. I think they are made for smaller people like kids. They are nice and great sounding but alittle too small for me. I would return but i dont want to go throught the hassle of exchanging and putting more money into another set of headphones.
1 reply from Customer Support team - 1 year ago
Thanks for your feedback. Our JBL Tune 660NC is an on-ear headphones that are designed to sit lightly on top of your ears rather than around or over them. The earcups and padding rest gently against the surface of your ears without fully enclosing your ear. If you prefer more isolated listening, our over-ear models fully enclose your ears with padded cups. If you need further assistance, you may reach out to our customer support.

Not Impressed, my old set from 6yrs ago are better

Purchased these to replace my ancient original JBL Tune headset. This new headset works okay. The noise cancelling sort of works - it does cancel out noise, but it also gives off some sort of white noise as well in the headset. I also at one point went to turn noise cancelling on, and one of the ears made this horrific screeching grainy sound. Turned headset off and it hasn't done it since. But now it occasionally cuts out sound for a second, I'll be listening to music or a movie and the sound won't come through for a second or two in both ears. I am not impressed with these, my old ones I bought over 6 years ago were better quality.
1 reply from Customer Support team - 1 year ago
We're here to help with your JBL Tune 660NC. Please make sure that there's no other device connected to your source device. Try using a wired connection and see if the issue remains. We also recommend doing a factory reset. To do this, switch the unit ON, then press and hold the Volume + and Volume - buttons for more than 5 seconds. If the issue persists, please contact our Customer Support so we can assist you.

Not over ear but mid tier

3 out of 5 stars
Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
Agisb - 1 year ago, Verified purchaser
They are pretty mid honestly. They are fine headphones if you get them on a good sale. I bought them half off and that is a fine price for these. They AREN’T over ear they are on ear. Also the noise cancelling is pretty eh. I can’t really tell the difference on or off but the bulk of the padding does block a bit of noise. Over all very mid tier and not worth the full price.
1 reply from JBL Support team - 1 year ago
Thanks for your feedback. Our JBL Tune 660NC is a on-ear headphones. We're always looking for ways to improve it. We'll pass this along to our development team. Let us know if you have other questions in the future.

These were for my preteen. She really liked them. The color was great. The placement on the ears was comfortable. They cancel outside noise perfectly. I don't have to hear the music or video, which is a plus. The only dislike is that the person wearing the headphones can't hear anything around them. These are good for all occasions. Just be careful of the surrounding areas.

I got gifted them for Christmas, and these are by far the best pair of headphones I’ve owned! I’ve always been an Apple or Beats guy but when I put these on, I was so upset I haven’t found them sooner! The sound is amazing and crisp, the ANC is amazing, the battery life is phenomenal, and they are so compact. I use them for working out, at work after hours, and late night at the pier and it blocks the world out and puts you in perspective with the music.

Bought these specifically because they are over-ear. They are not. However, my daughter did love all of the other features enough that she was willing to overlook the problem.
