This house will not crack, split or fade - it will look great for years to come. The poly lumber is also stain proof and easier to clean than regular wood. The interior front wall includes notches to help the birds enter and exit the box and a stainless steel mesh riser on the bottom holds the nest above the floor for circulation and easy cleaning. One side door marked "View" opens to a viewing window in order to see the nest without disturbing anything. The other side door, clearly marked with the word, "Clean" opens to allow easy access for cleaning. Can be attached to a the Universal Pole Kit on the bottom or the side with the universal mounting plate. The Universal Pole Kit by Squirrel Stopper features a sturdy and resilient design, sure to hold up to even the largest and heaviest birdhouses and feeders. The three sections attach easily with an included heavy-duty auger style made popular by the original Squirrel Stopper Pole System. Threaded joints help make this pole stronger than a traditional twist lock mechanism. The Universal Pole Kit is innovative with a 1 1/4" diameter tapering to the "universal" 1 inch diameter top. The included universal mounting flange allows for top or side mounting. If a side mount is used, an included plug stops water from entering the pole from the open top mount.
