Beautiful design with good quality. Works well in my transitional home for a touch of European style. This stool is rated for a weight capacity of 300 lbs, much higher than most, which speaks to the quality materials. Assembly instructions could be better - be sure the foot is right side up for the metal foot rest to be in hte correct place. I ha dto disassemble to flip the rest foot.
