Description

First, they test it out down the hallway. Then, it’s out onto the driveway. Before you know it, they’re asking to ride their Jetson Gem 3 wheel kick scooter everywhere – because once they get the hang of it, riding this kick scooter is just plain fun. It’s a quick path to scooter comfort and confidence on the Gem, thanks to how smoothly it rolls and how stable kids feel on its sturdy 3-wheel base. This scooter has been a great find. I have a three- and a five-year-old, and after a short learning curve, they both ride it with no issues. The back-wheel brake is a big plus - it’s definitely saving their shoes (and my nerves). The steering isn’t super intuitive at first, but they got the hang of it within a week. I love that it feels sturdy enough to grow with them for the next couple of years, and they’re obsessed with the light-up wheels.

Only for small beginners

Got this for my five year-old granddaughter. Instructions say only up to 44 pounds so people who are complaining older kids got on it and broke did not read the instructions obviously. I think it is well made but the front two wheels are pretty close together which doesn’t allow for easy turning. Child has to make wide slow turns or it does tip over. I would buy a scooter with much more wider space between the front two wheels. My granddaughter had another scooter and knew how to ride and immediately tipped over on this one because she tried to take smaller, sharper turns so this is OK for a very beginner who won’t be doing the turns.

My 3 yo loved it, however this scooter is not made to last at all. My older son just stood on this scooter by mistake and the whole front wheel snapped completely off. (He’s 12.) A little concerning on how easy the scooter broke/buckled under weight greater than 45 pounds. Definitely made of all cheap plastic materials.

Doesn't turn

It's says you need to lean to turn, but the age it is made for doesn't weigh enough to be able to make it turn when they lean. The quality, color, etc. are all great. The fact that my 4.5 year old can't turn it is tlfruatrating for her and me. I even tried to get it to lean and it's hard for me as an adult. Sadly for this reason I would not recommend. Its all my daughter wanted for Christmas. Find one that turns, not this one.

Don’t buy it! I’m not one to write reviews but had to warn people. WORST scooter ever!!! Doesn’t turn. Only goes straight. Daughter constantly falling off.
