Summary of reviews
The Jimmy Dean Bacon and Spinach Frittatas have received mixed reviews. Many guests appreciated the convenience and low-carb benefits, making them a quick and easy breakfast option. However, recent changes in the recipe, particularly the addition of caramelized onions, have disappointed long-time fans. While some guests enjoy the taste and texture, others find the new flavor overpowering and less appealing than the original recipe.

I've had these for years! And all I can find is the ones with the onions in them. And onions upset my stomach. SO UPSET AND UNHAPPY!! These were my go-to for a low carb breakfast. And in my location, it's the only ones they have. And I can't even eat them anymore.

I ate 2 bites of one and that's it for me. what a waste of money. I was trusting the brand but this is not a good product...way too salty and flavors aren't there on the Bacon Spinach one. I can't imagine the other flavor they offer is much better. Def don't recommend.

Disappointed in the shrinkflation of this product

I noticed right away that my last box of frittatas was different - less protein and 50 fewer calories. Unfortunately, the taste has been downsized as well. The main thing you now taste is the spinach and onions. You can barely find any bacon and parmesan cheese seems to have been replaced by bland mozzerella. It is so disappointing to have a go-to product like this get ruined.

Delights bacon and spinach frittatas

I have eaten these everyday for 3 years (excluding when away from home). I loved them. They were part of a low carb breakfast that I started eating to get my A1C down prior to surgery and I kept eating them, along with your sausage patties, because it's a healthy, easy meal to make. However, I do not like the addition of the onions. The onions go not taste good to me and they bother my stomach. I really hope you will consider removing the onions and returning these to the perfect breakfast item they used to be.

I used to love these they were a favorite I would make sure I had them in my freezer at all times for breakfast or any time of day. Not sure who decided to add the caramelized onions but it ruins them. I just tried your broccoli ham and that's not very good either. Really disappointed that the recipe changed.

I loved this product until you put caramelized onions in it. The onion flavor completely over-powers the taste and who wants onion breath in the mornings?!? Please bring back the ones with turkey bacon/sausage, and ditch the onions - unless you advertise it as an onion frittata with a hint of bacon and spinach.

The bacon in these have changed. I have been eating these since the beginning. The new bacon has a very strong taste to the point of making me sick. What change things. Go back to what you were doing. It may be the added smoke you put in this. I have 4 boxes that I can not eat.

Change in the recipe is awful

I have been a long time buyer of the Bacon & Spinach Frittata. Recently it seems they changed the recipe to have more onions or a stronger onion flavor. This is very unappealing first thing in the morning. I am so disappointed as I really counted on these to get enough protein in the morning. I guess I will have to start making my own. It would have been nice to know the recipe changed before I bought them too. What a waste.

I used to recommend these to others and I would enjoy them for breakfast 5+ times a week sometimes. Suddenly last week when I got another box I could already smell the difference as it was in the microwave it smelled awful. I thought it was somehow expired or something. I’m relieved to see I’m not the only one. But I’m so sad. I have thrown away each pack in this new box after a couple bites it is just gross now. I keep trying to get used to it but all I can taste or smell is like warm hot dog water. I really hope Jimmy Dean is able to go back to the original recipe or improve these again. But I’m not going to buy them again in the meantime sadly. Time to find something new for breakfast I guess :(

I use to LOVE the bacon and spinach frittata until one day it tasted wrong. I couldn’t figure out what it was at first. I compared an old box I had with a new box. They added caramelized onions in addition to changing other ingredients. It’s also no longer made with whole milk. I use to eat frittatas at least 5 times per week. Now I refuse to eat it until they change it back to the original.

Bone??

I have been eating these for well over a year, at least 4-5 times a week. I wouldn't call it 'bacon' that you include ... more fat than 'meat' and it's definitely lacking the cheese. But today, on my first bite, there was the HARDEST piece and I believe it's a bone. How did that get in the bite?? I probably can't continue to buy these now, disappointing.

These USED TO BE great but now they are awful. I agree with the other reviewer who said you should have added a new product with this recipe with onions and left the onions out. I believe the old recipe had onions as well but they were not as pronounced as these new ones. I will not buy anymore until you change the recipe back. I guess I will have to make my own.

These frittatas used to be my favorite breakfast, but you recently changed them by the addition of caramelized onions. No longer a fan. I've eaten them since they originally hit the freezer, but won't be eating them anymore. I love onions, but for breakfast?? Not!! :-(

My 4 year old is a very picky eater! She eats these daily u til Jimmy Dean changed the recipe and added carmelized onions to the bacon and spinach frittatas. They already canceled the sausage and cheese frittatas. Any chance they will bring back the bacon and spinach original recipe?
